What is this weapon?
This very useful weapon is none other than... the Torch.

Why is it so good? Because it deals aggravated damage. The other weapons with aggravated damage are the Tal'Mahe'Ra Blade and the Flamethrower.
How to obtain.
It can be obtained from Hunters and from Andrei's bossroom in Hallowbrook Hotel.

To get it early, you have to lure out some hunters.
You can make hunters spawn in alleyways and next to some sewer lids by violating the masquerade and then killing the foolish mortal who thought the sheep can hunt down the lion.

Step 1:
Violate the Masquerade twice. If you do it more, you'll just make the job harder.
To violate the Masquerade just be seen when feeding, or use disciples that are visually supernatural(Check their description.).
Your Masquerade points are in the upper-right corner of the character sheet.

(no violations)

(two violations)

Step 2:
Run around the town until you see a flame in the dark. In the Base version torches don't emit visual light for some reason(but still affect your stealth as if you were is full brightness), only the flame itself is visible for some reason, in the Plus patch however the torch illuminates the areas as it should.

Step 3:
Engage in.... *cough* com- *snicker* "combat" with the delusional, foolish cattle.
Yes yes I know for a new fledgling, the combat trained ginger in a poor Lara Croft cosplay swinging around our mortal weakness may seem "threatening", but it is merely a result from your young age. The incorrect assumptions and underestimation of your own abilities coming from your mortal life merely gave you an incorrect perspective.
That mentally defected bloodbag is barely as threatening as this guy:
And all this crab has is pincers and a butterknife....

But I can see your issue. Due to your lack of experience you don't even know the use of your Disciplines.
These delusional children can easily be neutralized by the very first level of Domination, Dementation, and Animalism. Just make them spaced out, burst in laughter, or get them harassed by birds, then crouch behind her and execute her with a single press of E. Or you can suck her dry with F. Your choice really.

As for the poor little Toreador and Brijah clans that can't do either of those.... Have you considered doing the obvious and.... punching them?
I mean seriously just look at the insane stats of your fists. They are the third(fourth in Plus Patch)
strongest weapon in Santa Monica and one of them is the Torch, the one in the Plus Patch is a sword.
Seeing how you have probably dumped all your skills on persuasion and seduction. I guess I could give some tips to beat the little wannabe hunter that flings around fire like a cavewoman:
-Use your fists. You already have physical strength beyond human potential. Only the Knife can compete with your bare hands in damage, but in moveset brawling is the way to go.
-You have combos. Pressing the directional buttons executes different ones. Pushing "forward" while attacking will launch her with the second hit. I don't recommend trying the three hit combos because she can retaliate after your second hit. She will die from a small amount of hits.

You also don't need to worry about her equipping something else, thus making the weapon unobtainable since the Torch is her...*laughter* ONLY WEAPON! X,D (what was she even thinking? fire will magically chase us away or burn us to ash like we are covered in gasoline?)
In case you don't want to be bothered by poor cosplayers thinking they can "hunt" actual vampires with a brain.
-Wait until you get an e-mail from LaCroix about Werewolf Blood after the quest "Surfs Up".
-Go and violate the Masquerade, then have some sweet "ginger juice".
-Get the blood and put it in your mailbox, then leave the building. You get a Masquerade Redemption, making the hunters stop spawning.
-Enjoy your free anti-vampire weapon.
Afterword
I am seriously surprised no one have apparently mentioned this method considering that it yields a free aggravated weapon and as easy as taking a lollipop from a baby.
Have fun bludgeoning all those annoyingly tanky vamps to Final Death with FIRE.

good thing the game conveniently ignores the beasts whole FIRE BAD reaction to any source of it near by and cause you to have to resist fear frenzy every time you bring it out lol something that would happen in the ttrpg rules btw (not making fun, always found it annoying in the ttrpg rules)

is there a way to do this as a Malkavian? None of my powers set off the masquerade and feeding in public doesnt seem to do it either

Likely only available in the Unofficial Patch, as I recall reading (in the notes for Final Nights) that there was an error that caused the hunter spawn points to not actually work. He disabled them and made his own scripts, but I suspect wesp just re-enabled them in the unoff patch.

Thanks for the guide, I feel like the game is easy enough though without this lol

Oh yes this is good. I stopped being a neonate years ago with this game and can vouch for this method of getting a good melee weapon. Take it one step further and get a crossbow if you like with three masquerade violations.

Thanks, helped a lot fighting Kindred!

It's a melee weapon so it benefits from Strength and Melee.
