A complete guide on all of the achievements of Epistory - Typing Chronicles.

Introduction

Hello and welcome. In this guide I'll try to show you the path to get all of the achievements of Epistory - Typing Chronicles.

• Number of achievements: 55
  
• Estimated time to complete all: 11-18 hours(depends on how fast you type)

While the main playthrough should take roughly 8 hours, some achievements like Insect's Bane
and Flawless Diamond will require you to farm in Arena, so it shouldn't take more than 18 hours to complete all achievements unless you're a snail.

Main Playthrough

You can get all of these achievements during your playthrough, since they are story related they cannot be missed.

EDIT
As I am informed by Renato, you can finish the game WHILE skipping some levels, such as Crystalline Mine and Ice Masoleum. Explore the map as much as you can.

Misc. Achievements

 Keep Walking
Keep a combo chain for 20 words

Self explanatory.

 Marathon
Keep a combo chain for 100 words

Self explanatory, Intensity and Perseverance upgrades can also help you to get the achievement.

 Traveller
Take 10,000 steps

You will get this achievement while playing the main story, don't worry about this.

Typing Speed Achievements
 Handwriter
Reach the average handwriting speed of 30WPM


 Typist
Reach the average typewriting speed of 45WPM


Advanced Typist
Surpass the average and reach typewriting speed of 60WPM

Self explanatory, this workshop file can also help you to get these achievement.

Killing Achievements
Arena kills are also counted through these achievements.
 Quick Draw
Kill 10 enemies less than 30 seconds


 Hunter
Kill 100 enemies


 Slayer
Kill 1,000 enemies

 Insect's Bane
Kill 10,000 enemies

Now, Insect's Bane might be a bit hard to unlock, that's why I do highly suggest you to download this workshop file as it helps you to kill enemies effortlessly.

No Mistake Achievements
 Diamond in the rough
Type 100 characters without a mistake


 Cut Diamond
Type 500 characters without a mistake


 Flawless Diamond
Type 1000 characters without a mistake

What you need to know about these achievements are that they count letters. I've completed this achievement in Labyrinth which is one of the Arena maps.

Also gigawatts says:
When trying to get the "Flawless Diamond" achievement, it does not have to be done in one life. So you can do the arena and die multiple times during the 1000 no-miss-streak because you're being careful to not make a mistake.

 Multitasking
Switch 10 times between magic types during a single battle

Can be completed easily in Arena.

 The quick brown fox...
Buy all velocity and sprint upgrades

Self explanatory.

 Polyvalent
Use all 4 magic types during a single battle

Can be completed easily in Arena.

 Starfox
Buy all magics and knockback upgrades

Self explanatory.

Element Achievements
 Ceraunophilia
Zap 500 words with lightning magic


 Pyrophilia
Burn 500 words with fire magic


 Cryophilia
Stop 500 enemies with ice magic


 Kinetophilia
Repel 500 enemies with wind magic


And Stay Dead
Use all 4 magic types on a unique enemy
You can get this achievement on big slow bugs.

You can complete all of these achievements in Arena if you couldn't get in your playthrough.

Max out all upgrades

Self explanatory.

 Explorer
Find all the chests

There are 64 chests in total, but somehow I got this achievement around my 61st chest. Upgrading "Knowledge" fully can help you a lot as you can see locations of chests in your map with this upgrade, I also suggest you to follow this splendid guide .

 Collector
Find all the collectible fragments

You need to collect all of the fragments which are found in chests. There are 34 fragments in total:

• 3 fragments in Burning Hollow
  
• 4 fragments in Forgotten Forest
  
• 4 fragments in Drowning Halls
  
• 4 fragments in Ice Mausoleum
  
• 5 fragments in Creation City
  
• 5 fragments in Crystalline Mine
  
• 5 fragments in Shattered Isles
  
• 4 fragments in Lost Desert

 Bug Spray
Clear all insect's nests

Insect nests are places where you stand still and fight against waves of monsters. You can see their locations on your map after you upgrade "Knowledge" fully. There are 24 nests in total, 8 nests are in main island and the other 16 nests are in levels in which 2 nests for each.

 Angling a dry ocean
Find the prickly fisherman

Prickly fisherman is the mascot of the Fishing Cactus. He can be found in Lost Desert level.

Closing Remarks

This game was a fantastic emotional journey and I enjoyed a lot in every part of it. When finally beaten the game, I decided to hunt all of its achievements. When I searched for English guides for %100 achievements, I couldn't find any, there was only a guide from a Russian dude. You can find his Russian %100 achievement guide in here

I should have said, all cumulative achievements should be on the same profile, else you go back to zero (on a new profile)

One time events (like story progress) won't be reset.

All achievements are tied to a profile (aka saved game)
It's saved per profile so if you change profile within the game you'll get back to the count on the new profile.
Which in turn are uploaded to Steam. So all achievements should be done on the same profile.

I should probably have asked this before doing it: Will resetting my game save... also reset the counter? In the Statistics I'm back to zero, so I'm right now having a slight panic attack tbh.
My counter was stuck, so I didn't know what else to do really...

Confirmed as well that Flawless Diamond can be easily obtained in Creation City. Also, I don't know how I got "Advanced Typist" in there, too. O_o No cheating!

impossible to complete the advanced typist for me, can't got over 45 wpm in the game even though my socres in type racer can get to 80 wpm

God, this end grind is horrible... finished everything in 6.5 hours, but only 2900 kills and 7100 words. In another 1.3 hours at the arena, only got up to 3700 kills and 8900 words.
