How to win game on highest difficulty

Simple guide how to win the game. To unlock higher difficulty you must finish all missions on lower difficulty first.

Use ACT2 mission 2 to level up your marines or some other XP farm missions. (as per other guides here on Steam)

In early stage good way to get Requisition points to buy more packs is handy mission 3 of ACT2. Later on the fastest for me was ACT8 mission 2 where instead of running, move all units to meet Hive tyrant and kill him. This will immediately finish the mission, on Heroic diff. marine who kills get 2400 XP and others got 600 XP each.



From start just level your 5 best marines you have or first Tier 3 or Tier 4 you get.
First level up critical and some accuracy. I have never add points to health as you will not need it.
When you get some Tier 3 or 4 devastator level him up as soon as possible. For me best one was tier 4 Ultramarine Master of Relics.
My best combination was 3x tactical and 2x devastators all equipped with Plasma weapons in later stage. Best for tactical is Plasma gun "Pyre Talon" and for devastators the best one is "Doom of Behemoth" (Ultramarine only) or "Triplex Alpha" Plasma Cannon.
Use overcharged shots to kill large enemies. Master of relics with abilities relic etc is able to shoot 45 000 damage in one overcharged shot.



Unlock all Wargear slots for each marines.
Have 1 Nova or Photon flash grenade for each marine, that will stun enemies when you will miss a shot or overrun (in one slot).
Equip 2 marines with +accuracy Litany of execution (+25% accuracy) and 2 with Litany of hate (+50% crit) or Auspex (+80% or +60% or less depends which one you farm first) to improve your critical when needed.
In third Wargear slot add Medipack tier III or Tier IV. For devastator add instead of medipack First company relic (+100% damage against large units) and seal which add damage to plasma weapons.

Than just play, use overwatch a lot, do not rush to places where you cannot shoot anymore (if you use all point for movement and you now stand against several tyranids...), use your wargear and abilities wisely (depending on situation, its not wise to add crit and accuracy to kill just one common tyranid...and on other turn you are without any bonus and you face horde or large ones) and you will win the game.

This is only one way to play the game. And avoiding health at higher levels is a bit lol since you can't alpha strike every target all the time.
