"Project: Kill IT!" will be an arcade style first person shooter where you defend yourself from a horde of killer clowns while manuvering increasingly bizarre levels. Your major goal will be to complete tasks spread around the various levels to score points and compete on local and global leader boards. The first areas start out simple, but as you progress you will reach the more twisted level design that will keep you engaged for many playthroughs.

This game is being made with the Unreal Development Kit (UDK) for Unreal Engine 3, the same engine which supports other great titles like "Batman: Arkham City" and "Bioshock". Through careful use of landmarks, Kismet and UTactors to create experiences in levels not normally possible in 3D games (and completely impossible in reality). Some of these elements include hallways that wrap back upon themselves, changes in the direction of gravity, buildings that are "bigger on the inside" and loops with more than 360 degrees. We will be releasing videos that exemplify some of these paradoxes in the future.

We are all "nights and weekend style" designers, programers and artists. As a result, we do not have a AAA marketing budget behind our efforts. Instead, we need you to help get the word out about the game. If you like the thought of running around unique, twisted levels shooting at deranged killer clowns and want to learn more about us check out our website:

Thanks Bach. I'm sad to say that this project has been on hiatus recently while we finish up our other game Sharktillary. You can check it out here:

We'll be adding more pictures and videos as we get further into development.

I would have liked to see how the clowns might look like, to see how sick and bizarre they could look hehe, to hear some laughs in the air, not to concentrate doing the puzzles, because you never know when "IT" would attack x_x. Looks great :)

We have added a new video that showcases one of the major types of twists that you will see in our levels. Notice that the player enters a building on the ground floor, but when he looks out the window he's several stories up in the air. He then drops down one floor and exits the building only to find himself on the balcony above where he entered.

This is one of almost a dozen different special effects we can use in levels. We can also combine effects like these to create some truly bizarre areas. Being able to explore these areas without getting lost or confused will be super important if you want to survive.

Thanks for watching.

Okay still looks good, can you get some gameplay if you can?
KBlaney  [author] Nov 5, 2012 @ 2:58pm
GolfClubNinja, we have a number of enemy clowns planned which will all vary to some extent in how the player must react to them. We will also have a few uniquely spawned clowns that will score extra points in each level. However, in the final game balance we intend regular clowns to be a formitable enough opponent that "special clowns" (as analog to the special infected in "Left 4 Dead" or the rather tired super zombie trope) will be uncessesary.

Put more simply: Small clown that is harder to hit but dies faster? Yes.
Small clown that jumps on your head and controls you radically disrupting gameplay? No.

Are their going to be special clowns?
