Are we sure this image is what the maximum resolution will offer in the end?

This is far far more than just "Lighting" This to my eyes is a clear downgrade. I personally think the 2022 version looks much better

The level of detail in the 2022 SS is definitely higher (moles, freckles, facial muscles). The two shots though appear to have been taken from different perspectives though. The lighting is also different. I am not a fan of the 2023 eyes, but it not going to stop me from enjoying the game.

It's the same fudging thing every fudging game that gets announced and then released, how are ppl still surprised of the "downgrades"? No matter what you think the game will never look the same at release compared to "before"

@Ruin I don’t expect you to understand, but I have experience with creating 3D models and even a rookie like me can see the downgrade. Lighting does not make this much of a difference

Different scenes, at different distances, with updated lighting (in the 2023 version), would explain pretty much all the discrepancies here, and that's not even factoring in potential impacts of differences in streaming quality, etc...

This proves nothing...

If you think 2023 looks better you most likely have severe brain damage. WCYD.

Even the hair looks way better now in the 2023 version. Also like how the eyes pop more instead of the 2022 dark shadowy eyes.

that 2023 model is more than likely PS5 version which yes is downgraded
