Description
Quick-start
To jump straight-ahead into playing the experience provided by this mod-list, simply click the Subscribe All button in this page, launch the game and make sure that the mod order is the same as it appears here (with Adventure Mode on top and Skill Spells at the bottom).

Besides that, you will also want to read the Adventure Mode description and instructions since that is the biggest change of them all. Finally, remember to check vendors for gear - they are now much better stocked than in the base game and you will get a lot of gold that you'll want to spend with them while playing this.

If you want an in-depth explanation of what this package is trying to achieve (and how), continue reading... Otherwise happy gaming!

Goals
This mod-list of custom-built mods by me and other top-tier mods picked from the community at large aims to bridge the gap between Torchlight II and rogue-lites, for those gamers out there looking for a more intense TL2 experience with faster progression, much increased replayability, more streamlined loot, challenging gameplay and modern quality-of-life features. The ultimate goal here is to make the leveling process faster and introduce a less linear gameplay mode while maintaining the old-school challenge of the vanilla game and adding some better quality-of-life features.

The mods
The four core mods custom-built for this package are:
- Adventure mode, which aims to replace the campaign with map-based content for all levels, structured to deliver a crisp sense of progression and a layer of strategy while leveling;
- No loot drops, streamlining loot acquisition and removing the tedium of micro-managing the piles upon piles of worthless item drops;
- Scaling vendors, making the game's vendors a much more reliable source of good loot with whom to spend all that gold you'll be picking up in your adventures - while still leaving plenty of opportunity to come across the best tiers of loot which will only be found in the darkest corners of the deepest dungeons!
- Flasks are powerful non-consumable health- and mana-potions to reduce inventory management and maximize your recovery potential! They will drop much more rarely but can also (sometimes) be found in shops - but be prepared to pay a premium for them!

Triple XP means you will progress much faster, keeping up with the rate in which new Map tiers will appear. Watch your build come together faster, unlock powerful skills earlier and adapt to the ever-increasing challenges while RnF's Skill Spells let you branch out into skills from other classes as well, resulting in a truly unique build and new theorycrafting opportunities for each character!

General passives adds a new tab to every vanilla class full of passive skills to enhance (or overhaul) your theory-crafting! These passives range from attributes and regeneration to magic-find and luck, for extreme min-maxing potential! Use them, ignore them or even make your own class-less builds by focusing entirely on these skills instead!

Of course, you are free to use (or not use) any of the items as you see fit. While I have tried to put together the best "batteries-included Torchlight 2 roguelite package" I possibly can, no one will always agree on everything so feel free to use it only as a starting point to suit your own gaming preferences.

Upcoming
What I will be looking at next to further polish this mod-list: class-merge mods and more item-merge mods, graphic overhauls and more quality-of-life features. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to let me know (either on those topics or other cool things I might have missed)! While having this be a modular mod-list is nice, I'm not opposed to eventually making it a merge-mod if more fitting mods pop up.

I will also be working (probably very slowly) on the three individual mods I've built for this, check their individual pages for hints of what's coming up next!

Feedback is welcome and appreciated, even if only to share if the modlist is working together in a fun way or not. If you enjoy this package, make sure to share with your friends who are also into Torchlight, action-RPGs or rogue-lites in general!
