Robinson Crusoe - Scripted Setup

Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island is a cooperative survival game where the player characters find themselves standed on a remote island. Players have to work together to survive against starvation, harsh weather, wild beasts, and scenario specific dangers such as cannibals or an erupting volcano.

While trying to survive, the players must also complete an objective unique to each scenario, such as building a campfire to alert bypassing ships or neutralizing a mythical beast that roams the island. The players only have a specific number of rounds to complete this objective, or they will automatically lose.

Setting up:
It is recommended that players choose the White, Pink, Teal and Orange seats. The Yellow, Purple, Blue and Red seats are only included in case people want to play with 5 or more players, which is not supported by the game rules. Note that the game changes your player color to match the color of your character, so there is no point in choosing a seat based on its color.

When the workshop mod is loaded, the host will see a setup UI panel. For your first game, select "Scenario #1: Castaways", and ignore all other options. Wait for all players to be seated at a color, and then click on "Start the Game". Everything will now be set up, and all bags and decks will be shuffled (where needed).

Once setup is complete, each player must take a character sheet from the big gray bag at the middle of the table, and place it in their play area. If you prefer to play a male character, flip your character sheet before placing it down. The character pawns, wound tracker and personal invention will be placed automatically. 2 determination tokens will be placed under the personal invention. These become available once the personal invention is built.

The game also randomly assigns the First Player. It randomly decides ahead of time that the Xth player to choose their character sheet will become the First Player. After all players have chosen their character, simply move the big gray bag aside and start your game. The rulebook and a quick reference guide are included to help you on your way.

You can play the game by yourself while controlling multiple characters. To do so, it is recommended to start a single player game, and not a hotseat game. In the setup UI panel, choose a number of players equal to the amount of player characters that you would like to control. When you take the character sheets from the big gray bag, place one in your play area, and the other(s) in an adjacent play area.

- 14 event cards and 6 mystery tokens from Voyage of the Beagle.
- 7 promo additional event cards.
- 7 promo additional beast cards.
- 14 promo hunting adventures beast cards.
- 13 promo discovery tokens.
- 10 custom discovery tokens based on scenario specific discovery tokens.
- Searching the Beach promo mini-expansion.
- Searching the Volcano promo mini-expansion.
- Invention cards for scenario inventions. (The inventions included on the scenario sheets.)
- Custom components for individual scenarios. (A pawn for Jenny, a counter for Henry Stanley's progress, etc...)
- Custom starting tiles for the Volcano Island scenario and the Searching the Beach mini-expansion.
- Alternative island tiles that produce fur instead of wood.
- A rulebook for the base game and the components from Voyage of the Beagle.
- A quick reference guide for the base game, and rule notes for the mini-expansions.
- Scripts to handle setting up the scenario, player characters, crewmen, optional components and variant rules.
- UI menu to choose the scenario, player size, characters, crewmen, optional components and variant rules.
- Extra player seats for 5 to 8 players. (It is up to the players to tweak the rules to match this player size.)

Planned future updates:
- Add snap points to the player character sheets and the scenario sheets.
- Add 12 promo mystery cards.
- Add the Traits promo mini-expansions.
- Add the Herb Garden and Pen promo mini-expansion.
- Add the Spyglass of Illusory Hope promo mini-expansion.
- Add loads and loads of fanmade scenarios, some of which include fanmade characters.
- Add fanmade invention cards.

I would also love to include the following updates. However, I don't own these expansions, and there are no complete scans available for these expansions. If you own these expansions as well as a scanner, and want to help me complete this workshop, contact me:

- Add the Lost City of Z campaign from Mystery Tales. (40 pages, 1 tile and 59 cards to scan in addition to Horror Mode)

A note on component versions and quality:
I do not own the newest edition of the base game, nor do I own all the expansions or promo components. You'll notice that some of the components have older images or are of lower quality.
