Gladiator Guide

This guide will give you a detailed analysis of the Class known as Gladiator. PvP aoe and boss farming gladis.Its not compulsory that you guys have to stick with this Build. Everyone can make their own unique build

Introduction

Honestly I think everyone can make their own unique build so you guys don’t have to stick with this build if you don’t wanna.

So what the hell is a Gladiator?

At lvl 40 you can do a class change[2 CC quests] from mercenary to gladiator. Gladiator can play the role of a tank, a Damage dealer and they are not good in 1v1 PvPs but with a priest on their side they are OP in wars since they have tons of HP and dont die quick. They can be good in 1v1 PvPs but you need to invest a lot in your gladi to achieve that yeah like +7 set and +8 weapons atleast.

PvP Build

Stats: Full Con [All Land & Sea points]

The reason all points must go on con is that a PvP Gladi needs buck load of HP.

Recommended Items

• Hatis Earring
  
• Hatis Necklace
  
• 2 Shining Supervisor Mole Rings or the hatis rings
  
• Red Pirate Dress
  
• Noodles [20% or 15%]

Skill Tree of a Lvl 99 Gladiator

Well with 2 supervisor mole ring even if opponent have balance up maxed they will get critics so you can put some pts on death blow training if you want. Why? Whenever you deal a critic hit you add more damage to your critics. But if you are aiming for 99 gladi i would love to max cross edge if i were you :D.













Tips


Well a gladiator’s strength is his massive damage with his 2h sword, so its recommended that you
Keep your sword atleast to +4 if u can make it +6, then don’t hesitate the higher the lvl of sword the better.Some Mp fuses will also be useful for using skills.

Always keep stacks of MP and HP pots with you; alchemist middle grade pots are life saver, they recharge quick and heals more,its advised to have them, they are really helpful. The NPC pots not half bad for full con gladi.

With composure maxed out you will have around 650-700 Melee hit, thats pretty decent,which is enough to hit other con builds that are around your level, however in wars and PvP, against dex builds or players with highly upgraded shoes and higher levels you will need at least 1k+ melee hit, so its better to have some melee hitting seals and fuses with a +7 glove. Now this new dress Tuxedo gives hell of a avoids so keep your gloves highly upgraded. If i were you i would keep my gloves +7 minimum

How to Fight Explorers and Saints

How to fight against Excavator
Its one of the classes that give that gladis a hard time. I’m talking here about the full con excas. When you fight try to land the first stun, or if they crimson you first its better that you keep them stunned until crimson runs out, you cannot use stun while your under effects of crimson try to run around a bit till crimson runs out, once it runs out you will have a few secs in your hands before excas can crimson u again, during that time pull them close with blood thirst use your shield bash stun and then tornado with 2h, the moment your stun about to run out use upperslash then Lightening a few more hits. When the battle about to reach the climax its better to stun your enemies then sit back and heal your HP a bit after that you can deal the finishing blow.

How to fight against Sniper

Basically same as above. But its recommended to stun the sniper at the start, so they cant cast sniping on you at the start, otherwise your royally screwed in the beginning. Most pro snipers will use net launch and moving shot. Blood thirst can counter that, if you use blood thirst then a stun combo fast, you can bring your opponent to your feet and deal damage to them even if you cant move. Who ever deals the most damage wins. So its crucial to land more damage..

How to fight against Priest
This will be really hard. A priest with maxed defence buffs + full con build can defeat you easy. Its hard even if you have decent hits, so don’t waste fighting them. Its basically slow poison death. But if the priest has less defence that is his defence buffs not maxed out you have some hope then. Well to beat this sort of priest stun them run around a bit then again stun until their armor of light runs out, the moment it runs its your golden chance to deal some damage, if they heal themselves try to keep em stunned then finally get the dwarf.

How to fight against Shaman

This is way more tough. I’m talking about full con pros that will give u trouble you have very less chance of winning because you wont be able to move and cast skills half of the time due to chain of light and thorn trunk. And that crazy damge from touch of death , curse of leaf, and flow of darkness combination will give you a hard time if you aren't careful.Well unless you have decent lvl difference with the shammy you have very less chance of winning. You can only use the same strategy as priest and hope to win.

How to Fight Merc and Noble Classes

How to fight against Gladiator
This is the most easy fight for a gladi if you play your cards right you wont even lose half of your HP.
Try to land the first stun then use your skill. make sure to change to shield the moment opponent glad wakes up, important for taking less damage.

How to fight against Guardian Swordsman
Easy but long fight. Observe carefully the GS, the moment they switch on AD, hit him with Lightening Recall, then use your speed buffs, run a bit far from them maintain safe distance. The moment they switch off AD pull him with Blood thirst >shield bash>tornado>upper slash after 6 secs and use your berserker skill. Really an annoying long fight though

How to fight against Court Magician

Honestly give up while you are ahead. Its gladiator greatest fear and foe. Unless you have really highly upgraded armor + weapons, its really difficult against most of the CMs, you need highly upgraded set like +8 set and +8 weapons then you can take out full dext CMs. with full int same as full dext but you will recieve more damage. +1int and +2 con , full con CM or con wis CM are the troublesome ones they are the very definition of OP you have around 5% of winning using above strategy. Dont lose hope in urself if you lose they are simply too much for a gladi to handle.

How to fight against Magic Knight
They are also tough, not on par with CM but they are OP in their own way. Your only hope is to stun and deal damage. Not much you can do against shade and sleep only snooz your way through.

AoE Build

Stat Build 1: Full Con [All Land & Sea points]


Because you will be tanking a lot of mobs, you will need as much HP and defence as you can get to take more hits. So this is why full con and defence passive skills are needed.


Tips for AoE: When gathering mobs use both of your speed buffs and change to shield when gathering mobs so you receive less damage. After gathering all mobs use all your AoE's. Sometimes Lightening might miss but you can afford that with full con build just run ahead of them again and wait for your skills to cool down. With +6 gloves or magic hitting fuses Lightening wont miss.


Stat Build 2: 70-100 dext rest CON:
Well with fusion bug fixed this build can really help you out. This built will ensure that your Lightening never misses its mark. This build will also give you some avoids from critics as well. The only problem will be your HP that will be 22-25k around lvl 75. With this build you can even mob higher lvl monsters as well


Tips for AoE: Well if mobs are around your level your HP wont be a problem. But if I try mobbing 3 or 4 lvls higher mobs which is recommended for fast leveling, you have to finish them with your 3 aoes since you cant afford to run ahead of them again because of your less HP. So its recommended that you keep your sword upgraded to as much high as possible.


If anyones going for 99 they will have lot of spare points they can put it as they like after achieving this skill tree. Probably switching to PvP skills will be a good idea

1v1 Levelling

Stat Build 1:

Full Strength [All Land & Sea points] Note: Only go Full strength if you will be using HP items and HP fusions to support your HP. Else you will be an easy target for Player killers in lawless zone. Well you can go for non pvp server.

Stat Build 2:

1 Con 2 Strength each level [For both land and sea points]
This will give you decent HP, around 15k HP around lvl 80 depending on the items you use.

Skills

Recommended Items:

• Red pirate
  
• Cherry Blossom Coronet (+1k HP +500 MP one)
  
• Hatis set

Tips: try to level on ranged mobs as they have less HP and die faster against your huge damage.

Boss Farming Build

Well glads cant farm like GS but they can solo some bosses if their build is right

Skill Tree of a Boss farming gladiator
• Solo Farming

Stat Build 1: Full CON[ Land and sea]

Since you will be tanking a boss and the mobs around him its nice to have a lot of HP, and remember always to max shield bash and your defence passives.

Stat Build 2: 60-80 str rest CON
Well this build ensures quick killing of the boss but you need to have a lot of lvl difference between you and an island boss to solo him.


TIPS: Its better to aggro the boss and lure him to least mob area the. Always start with shield and 1h, use smash quake>stun>switch to2h> tornado>after 6 secs use Upper slash>lightening recall> switch back to shield. If you are running out of HP and your pots haven’t cool down its best to finish mobs around you then stun the boss and you can sit back and recharge a bit

• Raid Party

Stat: 100 str rest CON:
Gladis can act as heavy damage dealer they can support the main tank by taking out the mobs both melee and range quick with their aoes, then switch back to shield to back the main tank up.

Recommended Items and Potions:

• Alchemist Middle grade pots
  
• Spec food[9k HP regenerate over 30 secs]
  
• Phlorus kebab[7.5k HP regenerate over 30 secs]
  
• Hatis set
  
• Red pirate
  
• Red Noodles[ not compulsory since hard to get without Cash]

Before making this Guide I did refer a lot of other guides and this the best set of different builds that I have come up with.
I exeperimented with my gladi a lot so far these are the builds that I know
Not necessary that you guys have to stick with these builds.
