Hi Shey, it's certainly a shame that the project won't move forward, but just so you know, your map has given my friends and me some good laughs, so I hope everything goes well for you in life.

Actually there was an ee planned and i also did alot of work done on it but over the course of the last year or so i just lost interest in finishing it. I even have the original Asylum Demon ready in COD Editor all that needs to be done now is finishing the coding for it which is not a big deal with some help of the ModTools Discord servers but i am not interested anymore due to major changes in life. Maybe i finish it and rerelease it as a new map in the workshopif i feel guilty enough for not finishing it but for now i just stopped working on it entirely.

The project started as a "joke" cause a friend of mine always said "Where is the Asylum" and i did the map as a joke. Suddenly it exploded in playercount and i forced myself to make something bigger of it without any knowledge. Now i have the knowledge but not the necessary interest.
I once dreamed about making the most fun and engaging bossfight in the whole COD Workshop here as there are not many really good bossfights in my opinion.

I designed the bossfight around the Asylum Demon to be a 2 Phase fight with it playing as normal but quickly changing into something liek in DOOM but all based on original moveset n stuff. The player would have a Dash like in DOOM ETERNAL to move around and dodge and the bossfights only purpose would be to let the player feel like the utmost boss ever. Thus i already planed music and sound design and everything.

Also the atmosphere was planned to be more true to the original Asylum with less improvised stuff and more custom models. Also the Easteregg was planned to be between 4 NPCs or more with different voice lines, actually really simple to make as there is not much going on technically. The personalities where planned to be shady characters that doesn't like each other and try to mislead the player for their own twisted stuff resulting in different outcomes depending on what the player decides to do. It was planned to be like in The Witcher 3 where you can chose between NPCs or that different dialogues appear when a certain item was found n stuff. This is all easy to make as the npcs dont need to move alot or something. There was also the idea to have one of the NPCs to be especially shady with talking to the player and vanishing when the player left the region for example went around the corner. When coming back the NPC would be gone or... Other stuff happens.

The firelinkshrine would have served kind of as a hub where NPCs gather and can be talked to giving the Player quests to do in the Asylum. These also would have been basic and easy to implement with zombies as the Interactions with the NPCs would have been the interessting part instead of what the player is doing and you have the freedom to play some tricks at the player. There was also the idea of a "Shadow like" Asylum which would have been inverted and instead of sunlight there would have been darkness and rain but without distrubing the visuals. I personally hate way to dark areas in games.

Reflecting on all the ideas i would love to have the map finished. It really sounds like alot of fun and more like an experience than just another zombies map but i'm just to lazy to finish it.
