TF2 is one of my favorite games of all time. It is an absolute masterpiece, currently I have over 1300 hours in the game and I've only barely scratched the surface of whats possible in this game, I would gladly spend another several thousand hours on this game for several years. However I cannot recommend this game to anyone new in it's current state. Despite the fact that the game does have some problems such as being so dated with it's original settings that it requires you to change 10's of settings and commands and launch options the main problem with TF2 right now is that Casual matchmaking, the main and most common way to play TF2, is completely unplayable entirely due to valves negligence and abandonment of the game. Were TF2 to never receive content updates again it would be sad but understandable and I think the game would be fine without content updates for a very long time for now. But it isnt the lack of content that's the problem, it's the fact that the game is completely overran by automated cheating accounts known as bots that completely ruin the game, constantly vote kicking innocent players, instant headshotting people as sniper and valve is doing absolutely nothing to stop it. A lot of people may say that tf2 is such an old game, the devs no longer supporting it isnt such a big deal, and I completely disagree with that. Valve pushes out new cosmetic cases 3 times a year to tf2 and they make a lot of money off the back of it and to me if valve is willing to continue to milk tf2 and its players for more money every year then it should be their obligation to maintain and upkeep it as well. Even if you still disagree with me about this being a problem with tf2 this sends a very dangerous message to the gaming market in general, if valve doesn't want to maintain tf2 and remove the bots and still rakes in money from it every year then what does that say to the gaming industry? The message that valve is sending with tf2 is one that could effect multiplayer PVP games at large and I cannot support that, or at the very least, recommend this game to other people because of that
