This summary is a work in progress, but feel free to read it yet.

I formed my account with Steam in the summer of 2019, if my memory serves me well, on a computer that is no longer functional. Having used my membership only until I reached the end of the American Truck Simulator Demo version, I abandoned Steam for over a year until I could not help but re-download the demo onto my later gaming computer (a humble Hewlett-Packard Laptop) and reunite with the game that I have long esteemed as the ultimate digital pastime. Since I upgraded to the complete simulator in September of 2020, I have been an online truck driver and have seldom so much as touched my Xbox One again.
I only keep to a single game in order to maintain a simple dependence on Steam and to avert occupying all of my free time on a computer. After all, life is not to be spent constantly downloading electronic simulations that fail to provide a genuine benefit to the player. As the years have passed, though, my time for leisure has consistently declined, now leaving even American Truck Simulator as but an afterthought on holidays.
