Probably one of the greatest expansions ever made for a game, having nearly DOUBLE the amount of content that rebirth, afterbirth, and afterbirth+ had as a whole. Most of the new characters are extremely fun to play as (i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate J&E though), and the music is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ INCREDIBLE with Living in the Light being my personal favorite song in the game.

The story... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The story finally being completed after A DECADE of updates and expansions with one of the best endings and final bosses I've ever experienced only raises this game higher for me. Between the heavy themes of child abuse, suicide, depression, trauma, and acceptance, and ENDING 21, probably one of the saddest endings of all time, this game's story has made me incredibly emotional and ans made me shed more than a few tears.

The new items that were introduced are extremely fun! R Key, Red Key, Rock Bottom, Mega Mush, C Section... Hell, MOST of the new secret room items are incredibly overpowered in the best way possible.

The new alternate floors are wonderfully designed: from the graphics, to the enemies, to the bosses (except gideon, ♥♥♥♥ him), I go to it during most of my runs just because they're THAT enjoyable.

Speaking of bosses, the new final bosses that were introduced are some of my favorites of ALL TIME. Mother is a wonderfully intense fight with heavy bullet patterns that keep you on your toes, Dogma is a visual masterpiece of a boss with one of the best concepts for a design EVER, and the TRUE final boss The Beast and her 4 Ultra Horsemen is an amazing climax to the story that has been unfolding for the past 10 years.

All in all, this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ masterpiece. I HIGHLY recommend this game AND dlc to anyone that's a fan of indie games, and games in general. I can't wait for Mewgenics (Edumnd's next game) to come out this year!
