Early Access Review
So, i played Fate Hunters, the first game of the developers.
It was an okay game, that brought some new stuff to the table, and made some wrong design decisions.
Personally, i refunded, because the overall game did not finally convince me, but i still liked the atmosphere...

Now, the devs released a sequel, and i was excited to experience what they had learned from their first attempt.
And it turns out, that they didnt learn anything at all, and, in the current state, are outrageous enough, to sell a (worse) reskin as a new game, and for the same price???
That alone would be enough to justify a negative review, honestly!

Now, ive read the reviews, and are aware that there are some people, which, for some reason, defend the game at all cost, and will cry out that the game is still Early Access.
Which, of course, is true, but:
1) The current game simply IS Fate Hunters, just with a different, much less professional graphic style- and it still is costs the same!?!
2) The roadmap doesnt feature anything, that you couldnt honestly pack into a DLC!
In fact, there are developers out there, that would have added all the planned stuff as free post-release patches!

Also, regarding the gameplay itself, it doesnt feel any better, than what i remember from FH.
Of course i can only speak for myself, but shouldnt a sequel, even in EA, feature any feeling of progress and improvement?
Anything that justifies a new brand, and a second purchase?
Instead, every single thing that i didnt like about the original game is still there:
The need to carry treasures with you, no map that you can follow but rng-paths after each battle, boring cards and battles and a boring level-up system that mostly leads to skipping, too little depth...

Also, who designed that abysmal encounter (a standard one, not even elite), that puts three (!) curses into my deck, that i have to carry with me, until i find some opportunity (or not) to remove them???
Guys, isnt it annoying enough, that i have to downgrade my deck with treasures, to get any rewards at the end of the run?

Honestly, im already having enough, and neither have i enjoyed my time with this game, nor would i change my mind about it, if no fundamental changes would be made.

So...
Personally, i regard this whole game as a lazy and respectless release, and a shabby attempt to grab some quick cash, with something, that should have been developed as a DLC for the main game, and is instead sold at full price.
Edit: In reaction to your comment, devs: You might not be able to sell the game as DLC, but you are fully responsible for selling this version of Fate Hunters for the same price as the original, and charge your former customers twice...

In my oppoinion, Dreamgate isnt worth a second purchase at ALL, and i simply recommend to NOT support the developers...

Thank you for your big review and feedback.
Unfortunately, we could not continue to develop Fate Hunters, because the rights to it did not belong to our team.
Of course, we could make a DLC, but for this we (our team) would not get even a cent, and working for several months for free is not the best idea.
As for the fact that this is a clone... you are not quite right. Of course, we took the basic mechanics from our last game, but we supplemented them with new ones (talent tree, events). In addition, we removed some of the controversial mechanics (fast, reinforcements, etc.)
...and we are already working on new ones that will add uniqueness to our game (for example: game map).
