(This is less of a review and more of a venting text. There are other people who express my points better than me)

The short answer: Just play the og S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games instead.

The long anwer: Don't play this game unless you have a lot (and I mean A L O T ) of free time on your hands, or if you're a masochist.

Allow me to elaborate, this game, it WASN'T bad. I was hocked at this game in the beginning, killing monster and npc's and the occasional pvp was really fun, and the grinding at the start wasn't too bad, and the reason I liked it so much is not because it was easy, it's because the game used to respect my time.

But the good part of the game start and end with the Swamps, once you make your way to the Cordon, and especially the Garbage, you can begin to kiss your fun moments goodbye, becuase from this point onwards, the habit of grinding for hours on end just to get one-shoted and lose all of your hard-earned loot is gonna become your daily meal in this game.

My problem with this game started when I realized just how much time I was wasting in it, and when I say wasting I MEAN IT. It ain't fun having 5+ hours of my day being wasted by some random jackass just to have to rinse and repeat, and in the end when I finally get to craft the last things that I wanted with the materials I had been grinding, instead of satisfaction I just feel glad that it's over.

(And as a side note, what's even the point of PvP in this game? I'm talking about the open world PvP. I think it's only there to screw with people, like you literally gain nothing of value from it since you can't use other people's event loot, the only porpuse pvp serves is to waste people's time. Make it be worth engaging with it, or don't put it at all. Also, the devs must have some kind of wet dreams with walking simulators, cuz' this game's got a lot of that, and it is BOOOOOOORIIIIIIIIIIING!!)

The HUGE amounts of stress I get from this game make's it very hard for me to enjoy it, and I was certain that I didn't want to repeat all of that experience, the game literally killed my will to continue making progress, and by the time realized, I didn't want to play anymore.

Heck, I've played Dark Souls several times before, and even that game feels more respectful towards my time and effort than Stalcraft does.

This is what's all about, respect for the player. This game doesn't respect the effort and the time the players put into it.

If the game doesn't respect me, then why the hell should I respect it? the only reason I don't cheat in this game is because it's multiplayer (and also because it's just best to go play something else).

And you know what? this hurts, man. Because this game's got the right idea, but a terrible execution.

This game does somethings right, for example: I think they absolutely nailed the stalker atmosphere. And the gunplay feels pretty good too. It's got good graphics (as contradictory as it may seem), the main story (what I've played of it) is pretty interesting, the side-quests too!
But in this case, the bad things outweighs the good things.

Some people may be able to put aside the bad aspects of this game and still have fun with it, and I'm happy for them, really.
But me personally, I just can't ignore the bad things.

Stalcraft, you've got no respect.
