It's fun. The music is great, the art captures what it's trying to emulate very well. There are a few suggestions I have for post launch updates.

-The Slide/back dash is kind of lacking. I didn't find myself using it much at all, if it covered more distance then it could be used better to avoid enemy attacks.
-It'd be pretty neat to have alternate costumes (like a Gold dress for all coins collected, a blue-ish/purple-ish dress for all candles, etc...), only in gameplay cause I imagine that having to animate all the cutscenes with the alternate colors would be quite time consuming.
