I'm a 50 yr old female who is not a big gamer. I had this game yrs ago and liked it ok when played on my low end computer system back then. I recently bought the special edition version and installed it on my new high end gaming computer and what a difference the new computer has made. The game plays smooth and fast. I have consistant 60 fps and in riften and whiterun I only drop to 50's fps. I have several mods installed and no lagging, no stuttering... just fast running smooth game play. Glad to have bought the game and started playing again. I love skyrim so much because I can mod the original vanilla game to add things I wish the game had, change how it looks and buy as many cool player houses as I want. I also like skyrim because of the ability to explore the open world to my hearts content.

Only drops tp 50fps on your high end pc hmmph, also strange that this only happens in Riften and Whiterun but not in other cities, nice.

There are lots of "old" gamers out there, bc there are lots of people who've been playing since PCs came into homes. I'm 57 and have been playing since the 80s on Radio Shack home computer, I have a friend who is almost 70 who plays.... So agism is really dumb. Game rocks, as do other RPGs that us "old" folks tend to gravitate to. You sueauth.

Awesome to see a more mature person slaying dark minions in Skyrim. I think this game helps expand consiousness.

I don't think I believe this. Do you think a 1050 Ti card is "high end"? Specs!

Skyrim doesnt need a high end gaming computer to run smooth. If you wanna see if your pc is good, try Witcher 3 in highest quality settings and high resolution. But thats not so important basically, have fun playing Skyrim. I also started it again lately and I like the special edition a lot. Graphics are not state of the art, but it still looks nice overall. At least it haves more modern look than first Skyrim :)

Oh wow, it's not too often you see a 50 year old gamer. Much respect and I agree with Vano of Velen, we need more gamers like you :)
