I was not ready to play with my balls, but I did. And it was a ball. Will play more when I've got the time.

Sadly, it's a VERY short game. If you play the main part at least. You could probably put many hours into the game if you do the other modes. I wanna give credit on how great the art is. It's very cute and clean, and I love it. I like how if you are a very low skilled arcade game player, you can still start over from the level you were playing before dying instead of playing the levels all over again, however if you are a person who likes getting high scores, you have to go back and play the first level again. If you start over from the same level you were on, it deducts the points in half. But you still get to experience the full main part of the game even if you suck. As someone who wants to experience the full game without restarting all over again, this is a very helpful quality of life feature. As for music, it's decent, but not something I would listen to constantly (cough cough Donut Dodo cough). Overall, wish the game was longer, but I guess if your a big arcade fan, you'll get a kick out of this. I hope to see more Annalynn games in the future like how Anton Ball is now making Antonblast. Y'know if the developer wants to.

It's a decent game remake of the original video on youtube. There's even different endings compared to the original. But it can be pretty buggy at times with the outfit option tab. Also, going through cutscenes with no skip button if you want to see the other endings can be frustrating at times.

Early Access Review
Fun to play with friends and has gorgeous graphics, but it can be a bit laggy if you don't have a good computer that can run games with high resolution, but nothing a small adjustment to low resolution can't solve to do the trick. You can also get a bit lost when it comes to playing the game and what you have to do, but you can call a guide player to help you with that. So far, I am having fun with this game.

Beautiful game, with a beautiful story, and beautiful music with genius level design. I suck at playing it though :/

Almost did every route in this game (still trying to fight the last boss for one of the routes and HOLY CANNOLI. I loved it. It brings in the silly, goofy, yet charming nature of Undertale/Deltarune and Earthbound but not to the point that it feels like it copies those games. It put its own spin on the concepts of turn based fighting, different routes depending on who who fight, and its humor. I do admit, depending on your sense of humor, the sudden gross out gags here and there might take you out of the game, so I would not recommend the game to those who find those gags annoying, But as someone who finds it funny in doses, I did find myself laughing quite a bit at them, and the rest of the jokes in general. The writing in the humor is not as in depth as Undertale is, but its pretty good in my opinion.

Gameplay wise, even for a demo, there was a lot of stuff to do through out it. There's even some little secrets and big secrets scattered throughout the game that I enjoyed searching for. Although whoever made that one area that needed have backwards controls be used, I hate you (jk but I hated that part). The small enemies are pretty easy to fight but that should be obvious since they are beginner enemies. The bosses however, depending on which you you fight, can be pretty easy to very challenging depending on which route you take. I found myself dying quite a few times to a few bosses, especially with the one I'm on now. Each of the attacks by an enemy/boss feel unique, as well as the ways to defeat each one. I think that the attack system for the player is enjoyable. You alternate between both your character and the little buddy you are assigned to during battles as you attack the enemy with both your fight ability and a spell-like ability. The spell ability uses up points and can also help gain health and certain stats through it, with both you and you creature having different abilities to alternate with. Added on to this is the ability to interact with the enemy to befriend them if that's what you want to do, but you can also use this to your advantage when fighting. This gives you many different ways and techniques to tackle battles that I found to be . A big gripe I have is with one of the attacks that required typing out letters with the control keys whilst being on a timer. If the timer runs our, you lose hp. I don't know if this equates to me being slow with the controls but I feel as if the timer is very short as you have to navigate the on screen keyboard using your arrow keys. On another note, I had much fun exploring the map in the game with it's many characters, side quests, and puzzles as it's colorful and silly world invites you look around the place before you move on to the next major task. (Spoiler warning) And regarding the routes, specifically the "kill everyone" route, it does not feel as dark, or horrific in comparison to how Undertale handles it. This can be either a good thing or bad thing depending on if you thought the Genocide route in Undertale was trying to be "edgy" or took itself too seriously. I like this approach as I feel like it works in this sort of game where it doesn't try to tell the same message or be too meta with its story, at least so far.

Artistically, I love the pixel art and it's use of colors. It's silly, cute, and quirky, what can I say? I adore its use of pastel, rainbow colors, but it may vary from person to person. The overworld is colorful with lots of character and I enjoy the small things like the bell shaped plants making a ringing noise when you walk through them. During battle, the sprites are given much more detail, and they're really well done. The animations are decent, some over world sprites are animated pretty smoothly using frame by frame, while the battle sprites are mostly tweened from what I'm guessing. That's not to say that the tweening take you out of the immersion of the game, neither am I saying that the devs should do even more work than they do already. I just wanted to point that out. Some music tracks in the game are bangers (I was bopping my head to the fly battle theme) , but some not so much in the way that it doesn't really stick in your head as much.

Overall, I really enjoyed this demo of Athenian Rhapsody thus far. It's fun, hilarious, and while it was heavily inspired by games like Undertale, Deltarune, Earthbound, and maybe Pokemon (?) I think for the most part, it is its own game and gives it's own twist to those sorts of games. Call me a foolish cornball, but as someone who loves the aforementioned games, I can't wait to play the full version of this when it comes out.

A very atmospheric and hauntingly beautiful game. I had a fun time trying to figure out many of the puzzles and admittedly died a lot with most of them, especially the electric mine cart one. A lot of the game depends on your precision, problem solving, and timing to get through the puzzles, which depending on how good you are at those skills, could be pretty easy or difficult. I was sorta on the latter. On the terms of story, you kinda have to put it together through context of what you experience through the game as they don't tell you whats going on outright besides the description of this boy trying to "save" (?) his sister through this LIMBO world. It's honestly not the hardest platformer in the world but it can get hard during the latter half of the game. It's a pretty enjoyable experience for someone who has never played or watched much of the game before.
