Very fun game, pretty good community, awesome world building.

Scummy DRM, unprofessional developers with disdain for their own customers.

HORRIBLE bugs. In this game you dont progress until your mission ends, and thats a huge issue when youre constantly being disconnected. Spend 20 minutes firing an ICBM, the wave from the launch clips you into the ground, oh sorry youre back on your ship now. No you do not anything you spent half an hour collecting. No XP, no rewards, no medals, NOTHING. Oh youre on a hard mission and on your way to the extraction? Sorry all your team mates are suddenly gone. Have fun fighting the hoards solo.

At LEAST 25% of my games fail because of DCs

Thats if you can even get into a lobby. When you open the map it shows a few games on the planet, if you do not click one within 2-3 seconds it will fill up, it doesnt actively refresh so youre stuck opening and closing the terminal hoping you get lucky.

This game has made a minimum of 16 million and been out for two months. We havent fixed those bugs. But dont worry! We got a brand new paid battle pass! And the devs acting like theyre generous by leaving the old paid battle pass up lol.
I think the devs spend more time insulting the player base than they do working on their game.

Fix your game, or be honest and put it in early access.

Look how they massacred my boy

Like many others, I played the original lego star wars a child, and have a lot of nostalgia around it. I wanted this game to be a HD remaster, but i was open minded for a new style of game and would have been happy to accept a change on the format.

Gameplay: This game has been simplified to the point of being boring. Lego games have never been hard, but theyve always been cute and ingenuative. It was fun to see the different ways they Incorporated a beloved franchise into a lego world, all the refrences, the humor. This game has none of that. The missions are bog standard, 90% of it is just running from place to place sitting through the loading screens. For some reason they designed the mission lay out to play out in the "open world" itself, meaning each section of a level is inside a part of an explorable planet, taking you out of the story while you run around looking for the huge glowing ring that lets you play the next section.

Audio: Instead of using the original voice lines, they hired voice actors to imitate the original lines, some of which sound like the character but none of them are delivered half as well as they were in the movies. Gone is the charming grunting and gesturing, and theres no nostalgic rush to be had. Its just mediocre voice acting. I assume this was done to be able to easily add in lines that arent said by the original actors, but i didnt hear any of that, and even every side quest being voiced wouldnt make up for how badly done the lines themselves are. I prefer silence to cringe.

Story: Its.. just.. why. The story is incredibly condensed, making every scene feels rushed and the dialog feel spliced and jammed together. Fun parts are skipped and replaced by mindless walking. Remember the naboo infiltration mission? No you dont get to play that. Instead, spend 5 minutes walking around the gungan city and sitting there "escaping" a monster where all you have to do is press a button when prompted. Remember in attack of the clones when obiwan finds out the location to kamino? Yeah you actually play that in this. Youre dropped into the world and have to run to dexters, once there you have to wait tables till he fixes his robot, only to sit down and have a 20 second conversation, then you have to run all the way to the jedi temple, into the library, then play a minigame to unlock the archive, then run all the way to your ship to fly to kamino, THEN you play an assasins creed follow mission and WALK from the kamino landing pad through boring hallways while listening to the kaminoin drone on about nothing till you get to the room. You spend like 20 minutes to get through what was a single cut scene in the first game. It adds nothing to the game but bloat, none of it is fun, 85% of it is running from location to location. This takes time away from story development and fun gameplay, because the developers spend their time on 20 minutes of nothing instead of adding to the world. Like much of modern cinema, its empty fluff to padd out the gameplay time. This was done in a single cutscene which was more endearing and gave more information than 20 minutes of banging my head into a desk. All of the cartoon humor has been sucked dry, I smiled a total of three times in 2.7 hours. At one point, general grevious dabs. As if he hadnt been made a mockery of enough in the clone wars, they made him do an already extremely dated dance move to further sap him of any and all intimidation he could possibly have. W h y

Characters: The characters are just boring. Its cool to see them in such high quality, but all of them feel the same. They have classes now instead of abilities. We have a new menu to change characters, instead of holding down Y and getting the whole list, you have to go through the menu to find a character menu, to find the class menu to scroll around looking for the character. None of them have noticeably better jumps, the astromechs cant glide, Jet packs are pointless. All of the classes combat comes down to spamming the button to do the exact same moves as everyone else.

Co-op: Just painful. There is no dynamic split screen like in basically every other Lego game, it will be vertically split no matter if youre right next to each other or on opposite sides of the map. This leaves you with only half a screen, which makes it hard to enjoy the look of the level or even see what you need to be doing. Every, single level selection requires both players to hold down the select button at the same time, which sometimes just wont work. when youre in a ship youre likely to fly into your target while waiting for the other person to get positioned. Since theres no online play (in a game made in 2022), i have no idea why you need to agree to the level in the game, youre probably not going to be playing with someone you cant get along with.

Im summary: I wanted a remaster, but i would have been happy with a good game that was different, i got neither of those. I got a boring, uncreative, uninteresting, clunk fest of a game for twice what the original cost on release. My very first video game that I, myself, owned was a lego game, its how i learned to use a controller, and how i learned my basic video game "skills". Ive been a fan ever since, but this will probably be the last lego game that i purchase. There hasnt been a good Lego game since Jurassic park, and this is no different.

50 hours in and I have to change my review to a negative.

We're nearing an entire month after launch and we still have game breaking stuttering and invisible enemy bugs. I have well above recommended specs and have tried every fix I could. Being in the middle of an absolutely unforgiving boss and the entire game freezes in place while his grunts turn invisible is incredibly frustrating. If you expect me to get good, at least make your game functional. The game is still locked at 60 fps on PC in 2022, we can run games at +3x that, why is this even a thing? Still no ultra wide support. The UI is default set to an xbox controller and you cant change it, so if you dont use that good luck navigating anything. You cant rebind all the keys individually. The game is really good when it works, but this is was designed for consoles and lazily slapped onto PC. Absolutely shameful that AAA studios are still doing this while the usual hoard of fanboys defend it and claim its better than all the other companies that do the same thing. Instead of fixing these issues, or even addressing them, theyre releasing how to play guides and pretending the game is fixed.

This game is beautiful, the combat is engaging and challenging, the hitboxes are the best out of any souls game. Almost every fight feels fair(in the sense that the hitboxes or tracking isnt broken) and makes them extremely fun to learn and overcome as a result. But these bugs make the experience range from frustrating to impossible when it should not be. There is simply nothing you can do when you cant see an enemy or any of their telegraphs. Most of this is isolated to the beginner areas and is absolutely a flaw in the coding and way the engine processes in game entities. In the later areas instead of invisible enemies im getting routine crash to desktop bugs(about one an hour). The game can perfectly run massive enemies hurling hurricanes of flame at you and then has a coronary trying to render a single goat. Enemies can track and hit you through walls and then sometimes will get stuck on a chair. Cloud sync fails every time you close the game. Every time the menu pops up you have to agree to the online rules. In order to properly close the game you have to navigate to the main menu, wait for it to load, agree to the terms, and then youre allowed to quit. If you dont do this the game has a pop up next time you open telling you off for it. Im not going to complain about human behavior in an online game, but if i have to agree to behavioral terms every time i open the game, id like to not see a ton of explicit references and corresponding gestures(which violate terms) every few messages. Its the typical garbage fire PC port we are all far too used to.

Im still having an ok time with it, all things considered. Time will tell if the game can work long enough for me to complete it. No doubt this laziness will be rewarded with endless positive reviews and rewards, and the cries of their community will go unheeded until they move on to the next money printer. How disappointing and predictable.

Day one DLC that was held back and released a month later adding nothing but slight buffs to a play style you can earn anyway. Disgusting

DLC just released, is it fair to give it a negative review? Considering the developers have day one microtransactions i have no problem rating this as it deserves until its fixed.
As it stands now, its horrendously optimized, i went from high to ultra settings with a buttery smooth frame rate in horizons to getting about 25 with drops to 1 in any area at any time on any setting. Ultra or low it runs horribly and the surface looks like moldy soup. Im not someone who cares a lot about how my games look, but i care a lot about how they play.
Next time, dont release an early access broken DLC for full price.

The fanboys are blaming it all on "muh specs", its broken across all kinds of specs and cards

On top of this we dont even have our preorder skins lol

I waited and counted the days till this release. Extremely disappointed

Boy, was i looking forward to this. My favorite part of far cry 5 was near the beginning, where id just arrived and was low on ammo with nothing but a pistol against a well armed foe, so naturally I was very excited to be taking down the cong in a forest, cut off from my detachment and with little hope of survival. It started out great, helo goes down, and youre left alone with nothing but your fists, you come across two enemy soldiers and have to quickly melee them, thus armed with your handguns, you set off into an atmospheric world.

That lasts for about 5 minutes, and then you realize the map is a small canyon 2,000 meters long and probably 700 wide. Youre literally forced down a tube with almost everything along your path. At first, i was low on ammunition and was stealthily taking enemies out, and it really wasnt bad. The fun lasted for about 10 minutes because the AI isnt smart enough to pose a challenge, eventually i got sick of it and rambo'd my way up to one of my captured team mates, and then stealthily crept through the jungle for a while only to learn that nothings changed in anyway, the enemy is blind and deaf. The only hard part was when one of them happened to be standing in a bush because i couldnt see where to aim(you can just rake the bush with fire and youll usually kill them).

The tunnels were the only kind of interesting thing in the game, but were oddly full of these black demon dogs, were perfectly constructed large open spaces and felt more like a dwarven city than a war tunnel.

Once i got my companions together(who loudly scream "I GOT ANOTHER ONE" when preforming a stealth kill), i walked through the woods(on a road in plain sight because stealth is pointless) till i found a truck, then shot the driver and drove past everything to the extraction point with my mates loudly screaming when they fired off one round. We got there, did the boring hold the point mission, and then just went home.

The hold the point mission was arcadey, even for farcry, there were enemies placed in the most convienient places, none of it felt realistic. One you finish the mission you board the chopper only to grab a gun and attack the small base you fly over. Luckily the base is apparently a massive plant manufacturing rocket fuel, run and staffed by the mentally impaired. All it was was shoot the stock piles of red barrels which are stacked conveniently so that when one explodes it causes a chain reaction that blows the entire building up. After you finish this rail shooter, the game just ends with you hovering in a helicopter, no cut scene, no narration, no cool clip of you flying away, the pilot just stopped, and after about 10 seconds the game ended. Your companions have permadeath which added a bit of interest to the game(and of course the only guy i liked died), but over all, it sucked. I did everything you can do and saw everything there was to see in about 40 minutes, because most of the content is doing the same thing 4 times with mildly different scenery. It would have been great if the map was bigger than a pin head.

1/10, as hard as making toast. I couldnt get immersed in this at all, it didnt hold my attention for more than a few minutes, its farcry5 in a jungle but much worse. The ONLY reason to buy this is in the pack for the guns you get, which honestly arent that great.
Very disappointing.

Exactly what it looks like. While a little spendy, you get a lot for this pack. It is a must have if you want to do serious duck hunting. The decoys work well, the blind is amazing, it honestly trumps all other blinds in the game, its completely open, but still hides the player. The shotguns are semi auto and while only a class 2, they are the best bird hunting gun in the game. I wish they had a higher ammo capacity but it is accurate of real life. Over all I would say if you love bird hunting in the game, get it, if you dabble in it, wait for a sale(I got mine at half off which was a fine price imo), if you dont like bird hunting, give it a skip.

This is my absolute favorite map in the game. It has actual weather and it will snow from time to time(and the snow sticks!). Its absolutely beautiful. The best looking map in the best looking game. I cannot describe how good this map looks, it is amazing.
Animals: The grizzly bear is great, I loved hunting polar bears in theHunter classic and this is as close as this game gets to that. The wolves are one of the most challenging animals to hunt in this game, I have only one complaint. Wolves are very romanticized creatures, in actuality they are animals that kill without reason or mercy, they leave animals dead(and sometimes alive...) and often dont touch the meat, theyll just kill for the sport, that being said, they arent at all this aggressive towards humans. If you get to close all of these wolves will attack you until you die, ridiculously this includes when your on an ATV. I had the whole pack chase me for a good 60 seconds till they killed me. They are way to aggressive, but because of that they make a fine and challenging hunt. The plains Bison are simply Bison, they look good, theyre fun to hunt, but they are a little to slow. Buffalo look like lumbering beast but they are in actuality quite agile and able to run at speeds upward of 40 MPH, these Buffalo on the other hand can be run down on an ATV(which goes no faster than about 22 MPH on rough terrain). I killed an entire herd by driving in front of them and shooting a couple as they run by. I clocked the herd at about 15 or so, way to slow. The other animals really arent worth mentioning, as their counterparts can be found in other maps.
The .300 CANNING MAGNUM: This gun is almost worth the price of the map alone. It comes in at the second most expensive(to my knowledge). Its one of 3 class 4 rifles in the game, and in my opinion is the best out of all of them. It has a 4 round magazine and is capable of accurately hitting targets at over 475 yards. The bullets are only one or two points lower than the base games gun, but the accuracy is much higher. The recoil is very high, but with the bolt action mechanism and a little speed, you can fairly easily hit two targets out of a herd. This is my go to gun for hunting almost everything.
I cannot recommend this map enough, if your going to buy any map, make it this one.
