> what is truly hard is to make it seem "alive" and by alive..I mean not perfect.

So true! @Fuddleclutch after the holidays, we should look into this :)

Valefor, really glad to hear you're enjoying your game. I'm betting that by the time we've made the AI "worse", you'll probably be kicking its ass on the current difficulty :)

Happy holidays!

Thank you! As we developed the game, we were very worried the AI wouldn't be good enough to provide a challenge, so we did our best to make it as strong as we could! But we'll look into giving it a friendlier setting, too :) And don't worry, we have plans for plenty more games... just not a lot of time to work on them, unfortunately!
Hi Jean! We tested it and, while it's still possible to get the achievement, it's more difficult than we intend it to be. We tweaked the mission to be easier to win than it used to be, but that in turn made the achievement much harder to get. Bascially, you have to figure out the "trick" to be able to get it, and that's not how we intended it.

We're going to look into tweaking the mission so that the difficulty of unlocking the achievement will be more balanced.

We'll let you know when we've made this change!

A couple of tips:
  • It's very hard to keep all your power plants alive from your starting position, so you may have to sacrifice one and build more somewhere safer.
  • Zomg really wants you out of there, so he is very aggressive... until you get close to the Holy Power Plant. Then he'll start defending. That may give you some breathing room.

Hi mooncommander, thanks for the feedback!

> If I have 2/3 turns to set up freely due to the AI beeing passive (scripted) I want to KNOW about this. Not have to restart the level several times to learn arbitary stuff not visible on the map.

Are you referring to a specific mission? I'm not sure it's logical if the dialog tells you things neither you nor your commander are supposed to know (i.e., the enemy's plans). We do try to give you a hint on what might be a good way to proceed, though, and perhaps we should add more explanation?

> stuck on the level where you fight a satelite dish

Looks like you hit a (very confusing) corner case in that mission, or a bug. You're not actually supposed to be able to get the bunker down to 0hp but if you do, you get an achievement... and you get new orders eventually.

It is entirely intended that you can't restart the mission though. You're up against something so powerful, it's even messing with the flow of time. Sometimes you have to lose in order to win..!

I don't want to spoil too much about that mission on the forum, but I think you may have found a bug. You did get the proper ending of the mission, but maybe you got there by the wrong route.

If you want, you can send me an email (michiel at weefreestudio com) and I can give you some more spoilery explanations :)

I'll go see if I can reproduce what happened, and if there is indeed a bug in the mission!

In topic This game looks very interesting but...
Hi! I just read your message on our own forum :) I'll mostly-copy-and-paste the reply here for your convenience and future generations ;-)

Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to drop by!

We've got a few Let's Play videos already ( and everyone who's played the game so far has been really enjoying it and has given us very positive feedback! However, we haven't managed to get a lot of attention yet, unfortunately. Going to have to wave our "hidden gem" about a bit more and yell "LOOK! SHINY! YOU WANT THIS!" ;-)

In topic Introducing Wee Free Studio
My turn! I'm Michiel, the other half of Wee Free Studio. I'm a software engineer who's always been tinkering, leaving a trail of half-finished projects in my wake, but Powargrid has managed to keep us interested for over five years!

It's been great working on it together with Willem, since we keep each other focused. And yes, it started out as a "small video game" five years ago. Now, due to a terrible (and wonderful) case of featuritis, our simple board game has online multiplayer, and a single player campaign featuring the blobbies, orbital death rays, volcano battleships, underground mechanical worms, and a dash of time travel! If that sounds interesting... try Powargrid :)
