Ever wonder why I said I'm deaf but still reacting to the sounds? Well, let me explain so that you can understand why.

Usually, being deaf don't mean profoundly deaf (100%). It means it's my identity of who I am. I am actually hard of hearing, but I am deaf. Okay, I'm blabbing right now. The point is that I can't even understand the voices of teammates when they're trying to communicate. I can react to sounds such as gun shots, footsteps, nades and etc. The major issue of this is my ability to comprehend through voice chat and that's my handicap for teammates (Sorry!) so I often ask them to just try to type. I'm not forcing them to. Just try to type if they want to talk to me directly, give me feedback or suggestion.

Okay, now to the another question I think you may wonder...

"How can this deaf guy can hear footsteps?" It's really simple and easy. Ask for my setup. :)

My headset is HyperX Cloud Revolver S w/ Gun Metal color and my amplifier is FiiO A5 Headset Amplifier.

First thing I did was to research for the very durable and clean headset which is what I found above and then second is to research which amplifier is good and have reduced risk of ruining my headset if it's too loud (Obviously not to me. Lol) so I found FiiO A5 Portable. I have several reasons why I picked this. I wanted to be able to hear through my phone, ps3/ps4 and TV so this amplifier is quite compatible with any devices that support auxillary cables.

So my headset is very decent and I can hear maybe 25% of it without my amplifier. Now with my amplifier enabled, I can hear maybe 90%. Just because I can hear 90%, that doesn't mean I'll be able to understand what you're saying on voice.

/Rant Over

TL;DR

I use HyperX Cloud Revolver S and an amplifier to increase the sounds so I can hear things, but I cannot understand what people are saying on voice chat. I didn't grew up hearing voices. Sorry.

Oh also, I grew up with speech therapy so I can do callouts and etc, but I won't be able to understand you. It's just how it is. Thank you for understanding!
