¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°Henry J. Waternoose III, also known as Mr. Waternoose or simply Waternoose, is the hidden main antagonist of Monsters, Inc. and a minor character in Monsters University (only making a cameo in a photo). He is the founder and former chairman of the company, Sulley and Mike's former boss, mentor, best friend, and father figure, and one of Randall's former henchmen.

Waternoose used to have a fatherly friendship with Sulley and Mike until near the end of the first film when he betrayed the duo after revealing that he is working as Randall's henchman and before he banished them to the Himalayas. Afterwards, Sulley and Mike manage to trick Mr. Waternoose into revealing Randall's plan and as a result, Waternoose is turned on by the CDA and gets arrested by them. After Waternoose blames Sulley for "destroying" Monsters, Inc. and tells him it will only get worse because of him (as he is being dragged away by the CDA), Sulley proves him wrong by improving the company by making children laugh (which turns out to be much better than screams) while also replacing Waternoose as the CEO.

Waternoose is constantly thought to be the first film's main antagonist and Randall's former boss. As well, it was once thought that his middle name was James.

He is voiced by James Coburn in the first film and video games. In Monsters University, Kelsey Grammer was set to voice Waternoose after Coburn's death in 2002, but immediately dropped out.°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸
