Well, there really isn't anything special to them, I simply pose and light up the scene and characters in SFM, export the image to Photoshop, edit it in there (paintover, color correction, fix small clipping issues, filters, etc) and then I upload the final image.

The key to make them look good is through lots of tests, experiments and overall just experience that comes with making multiple posters and artwork over time. This is something you learn over time and can't really be explained or written down through text or tutorials.

It also helps in developing your own style, which can be useful for making original stuff later on.
