I remember back in my required sociology class they had us play monopoly in groups, each player being given a handicap or penalty from the beginning to represent inherited wealth, along with extra rules that apply separately to each player (to make it harder for the poorer players). I remember two things about this lesson: 1, the teacher didn't have an answer for what happens if a lower-classed player gets more wealth than another. 2, I was playing starting with lower-middle class wages and did pretty decently for myself.

Which taught the exact opposite lesson that the sociology teacher was trying to teach. Capitalism rules."
