I don't understand how this game is so drastically underrated. It is one of the best horror games i've ever played, and trust me, i've played a lot. It has such a big variety of gameplay elemets that you barely ever see in a game like this. It has an above average good story and just never gets boring. There is so much to see and to do. You also barely ever see horror games that long that don't become boring halfway. So yeah .... more people should know about it and more people should play it! The devs deserve this to be way more popular since they did an amazing job imo.<3

Amazing game! Definitely one of my favourite games of all time. I've been waiting for this for almost a decade and it didn't disappoint!
The art is obviously impressive but besides that the environmental storytelling, the world design, the puzzles and even the fighting mechanics are perfect for what the game wants to present to the player.

The puzzles are quite basic logical puzzles dressed in the unique style of the game. They are quite intuitive if you are somewhat experienced with puzzle games in general, they kinda have to be since there is no tutorial for anything you do.

It is an experience they were going for and that's what they build the gameplay around, not the other way. So not only is the fighting not the focus of the game, but it can be intentionally uncomfortable at times to force the player to try a different approach. People complaining about the fights not being fun or satisfying either don't understand or don't want to accept that that is what the game wants to be and wants you to feel.
Fighting is not supposed to be fun. You should only fight when absolutely necessary because the character you play, or even more so the whole species, is portrayed as weak and that is kind of the whole point of the story. Same goes for the ending. It is not supposed to be a happy/satisfying ending.

So if you expected a shooter, sorry to disappoint you but this is not for you. If you like puzzles, stories that leave room for interpretation and you want to walk through an amazing looking world with a unique atmosphere, it's worth every penny.

It's a quite unique game with a lot of interesting ideas and a good athmosphere. At the point in time I'm writing this review the game is finished and even seems to have multiple endings, so no "to be continued"-screen or anything like that as mentioned in some older reviews.
Besides the story, puzzles and especially the horror aspects being interesting (even tho not perfect), I did encounter some more or less game breaking bugs. A lot were not game breaking so I'm not gonna list all of them.
The worst one was that the flashlight just disappeared when i put the batteries in and I couldn't figure out if there is a way I can use it so the dark parts were a huge struggle!
Then in the last scene I bugged through the window and fell through the map (to be fair I provoked that but still only Alt F4 could save me).
Another thing that led to me being stuck quite regularly is that there's a lot of searching for pixels, as in there's a lot of tiny objects you can't see very well but are crucial to getting further. Maybe changing the crosshair visibly when looking at an important item or something like that would be helpful.

All in all i feel like it's a bit expensive for what it is, but it's definitely an overall good game with some flaws.
So thanks for this interesting game Daydreams Studios. I hope there are more games to come :)

Very interesting concept, good jump scares, good story, takes a while till you get everything together so quite a long play time.
If you're a fan of unconventional games definitely give this one a go.

I don't quite understand the number of bad reviews. It's a pretty solid game, pretty cheap as well.
Really liked the atmosphere and the sounds. Graphics, story and gameplay are good, too.
The only thing that bothered me from time to time was the stupidity of the enemies ... seriously. You can just walk into a locker in front of them and they won't find you...
But still, all in all I was surprised how good the game actually was since I expected something much worse considering the low price and the reviews. Give it a go! :)

I find this one hard to rate actually. I kinda like the crazy random visuals and since it's early access I don't want to be too harsh. But there were 3 aspects that annoyed me too much to give it a thumbs up:
First, if you just get a description of what to do to solve a puzzle, it's not really a puzzle anymore.
Second, Wtf is this fall damage? Falling 4 floors down without getting damage and then, on the other hand, loosing 20hp when just jumping on the spot? I don't get it.
And third, please don't use stairs which you can only climb by jumping every 2 steps! It's just annoying.

So all in all, I stopped playing in the third chapter after dying from a combination of those stupid stairs and random fall damage...
I look forward to give this game another go though :) ... if it ever gets finished.

First game I'm kind of feeling remorse for buying it on sale.... after playing I would say it's worth even more than the normal price.

Thanks for that really strange and unique experience. Great atmosphere, great art design, great sounds and music... I just got nothing to complain about. Though, I'm usually a fan of more challenging puzzles in games, the strange logic of those in this game was satisfying in a different, weird way and just fit into the storyline.
Hopefully you will take some more of my money by making another game (won't wait for a sale this time, I promise!) :D
