This game is almost perfect. You can tell that From Software took what they learned from their previous titles and worked most of it into Elden Ring. I have a few small complaints, but nothing that should deter anyone from trying this game.

1. There is a FPS drop issue sometimes, but it is rare for me and isn't a big deal. This may vary with other people.

2. Invasions and PVP in general are worse in this game than any other souls game I have played. You will pretty much never invade someone and be able to fight them one on one. There is always another player with them. Also, there is a balancing issue. Some abilities and weapons are straight up broken in PVP to the point where you will see the same thing on every other player. It takes all skill out of combat. Metaslaves and exploiters ruin the PVP in this game. Just stick to PVE.

3. In some of the later area dungeons I do not like how they handle the boss fights. In a few instances they will just take bosses from earlier in the game and make you fight two of them at the same time, or add smaller enemies shooting at you or something. I find this more frustrating than fun, and I would enjoy it a lot more if it was an unique boss fight where you're not just fighting two old boss fights at once. It's false difficulty. However, I understand the scale of the game and I can give them a pass on this. It in no way ruins the experience.

Those are really my only complaints. The story and lore is fantastic. The visuals are beautiful. The combat is fun. Your character is extremely versatile and you can build it however you want. There is more weapons, sorceries and incantations than you will probably ever use, and almost all of them look great. I also think this game is the perfect difficulty for a souls game. It's a bit easier than dark souls but still more difficult than most any other game you'll play that isn't made by From Software. It's a fair and fun challenge. Lastly, there are several endings to the story, so the game has substantial replay value.

Overall, I'd rate it 9/10. I think it's their best work yet.
