"Vampire's Fall: Origins" is an isometric RPG with turn-based combat. You are free to roam around the world and uncover its secrets. Loot, shop, obtain and upgrade gear, go questing, fight enemies and monsters, choose your path! Will you become the ultimate hero that saves the lands from those bleak times or you'll become an even bigger monster than the one you are fighting?..

The main plot is as you'd expect, albeit rather generic. The little details and the vast lore on your exploration and side quests is what makes it memorable. There is vast customization of your skills. You can win with any built and you can play around with your skills for extra fun. You can become anything!

The monsters and enemies also have weaknesses and resistances, just like you. Don't forget to upgrade and enhance your gear! Obviously, potions couldn't be absent from the game, same with a vast crafting system. The interface could use improvements, especially while comparing items - it's not always only about raw stats.

Use your skills in synergy for maximum effect. Certain bonuses and skill effects can make your playthrough easier. The best part of the game, for me, is that even if you don't go for the strongest and more effective built, you can still have fun and progress without it getting overly frustrating. You still need to level up and become stronger but a difficult opponent will rip you to shreds regardless of any built or items if you are unprepared.

Due to the nature of the game, if you die, you start from your latest save point. You can only have 1 save slot in each playthrough (but you can have more than 1 save file for a different character). Although, the game started as a mobile game, it's a complete and awesome pc experience that doesn't feel like a port. In addition, you can play by only using your mouse, if you don't want to use the keyboard, which is cool.

I love Vampire's Fall: Origins and I now love Vendir (their newest game - check it out) as well! Entertaining and interesting. You won't want to stop playing it even after you finish it. Thankfully, there are solutions to that! Many combinations and builds to try out! There are also NG+ modes. Yes, modeS, plural! ^^
My playtime on steam isn't indicative of how much I have played this game. I mostly played it on GOG. But luckily, I could play from where I left off!

Now, leave this review and go see what you are made of! Heroism or havoc runs through your veins?.. ^^
