RDA explorer has changed a bit since I described it – you now need to right click on the desired folder to be able to select ‘add folder as root’, not select it from the Tools tab
If you decided to override the ‘ll’ maps (rndmap_ll01, rndmap_ll02, etc) when you installed your custom map as described in the original guide, then you have to make sure you start the game with maps size set to large, and island size also set to large in order to actually play it ('ll’ stands for large map, large continent. You can replace any of the other rndmap combinations such as lm, ls, ml, etc, if you’d prefer to keep large map large island mapgen default)
Here's the link to the tools zip: http://86.20.122.137:899/Anno%202070%20Editor%20Tools.zip
Thanks for your post. It’s been a while since I’ve played Anno 2070, so I had to dig up my old guide and relearn some of it myself! I knew it wasn’t a great idea to host on filedropper, the link was probably dead within a few months. The zip that I uploaded has been lost for some time, It was on an older computer that I never bothered to copy over, but I’ve managed to piece together a new one using programs that can do the job (although they’re probably the same ones you’ve found by yourself) as well as the randommaptemplate folders that I originally mentioned. Although I should have noted that you don’t need to bother with injecting that folder if you’ve already installed A.A.R.C/Anno 2170 as it will have been added by the mod already.
I’ve just reinstalled 2070 and quickly made a custom map and successfully injected it with tools provided, so they should work for you. If you want any more help feel free to message me.
