The one advice I can give you is to stay away from this game. Well if you are a masochist go ahead and play for yourself, but if you're not hear me out.

1st: What you can expect from this game is a lot of lag due to the horrible servers, they thought it'd be a good idea to put the asian servers and the EU/NA into the same server region, which means you'll most likely end up somewhere in Seoul or Hong Kong with horrendous ping, or people from over there will seemingly shoot you through walls due to their less than perfect connection.

2nd: Progression in the game is like walking through quicksand with 100 lbs weights on your feet. You get around 150-200 VP (Vendor points) per game after your "First win of the day" booster ran out, getting some of the legendary weapons will take your hundreds of thousands of VP alone, and that's excluding Armor and Attachments.

3rd: Do you like being up against kids who milked the last penny out of daddy's credit card? Well that's what you get after reaching level 20 ( IIRC ), you're being matched against people who paid for weapons that are simply overpowered and unfun to fight against, I'm talking about SMGs with no recoil, Shotguns that shoot two shells for each pull of the trigger, Semi automatic sniper rifles that deal as much damage as bolt actions, ARs that deal double damage to limbs, good luck beating that with your early gear. Speaking of gear, there's some pretty broken stuff out there too, Boots that make you run faster, delay Claymores, make you take less damage to legs and all of that in one item, while you can be happy if your gear has two of those effects.

4th: The Communication between the Devs/Publisher is horrible, people complain about broken guns and what do they do, fix those weapons? Nah they just add a new broken gun that nobody asked for every month and call it an update. What's that there are spots on a map that give your team an unfair advantage? Ehh we'll fix that later. You want us to rebalance the broken P2W weapons? But how are we gonna make money then?

I don't think I ever said that I wasted my time in a Video game but with this one, I certainly did, thought that it might get better but nothing ever happened. As long as My.com is in charge of this mess and as long as nothing changes, I can only recommend staying away from this dumpster fire of a game.

TL:DR

1st: Trash servers
2nd: Grindy as hell
3rd: P2W
4th: Complete lack of communication between devs and players.

-25/10 Meh.

Left 4 Dead 2 is a very fun and challenging game ( at higher difficulties), it has some very likeable and memorable characters and lots of mods to spice up how the game looks, sounds and feels.

+Good graphics (even for a game this old)
+Good music and fitting music for every situation
+Highly modable which can change the game from dark and "serious" to something that makes you question what some people do with their spare time
+Frying pans

-Lack of fine tunneable audio options (Sound effects, character voice volume, Music not being seperated)
-(Nitpicking) The fact that the developer console disappers in the main menu when you click anything.

All in all the game gets 9.9 out of 10 from me.

When I started playing back in 2013 this game was amazing, lots of things to discover, friendly, helpful folks teaching you the ropes of the game, t'was a good time over all.

This went on for several years, went throught good updates, bad updates ,*cough cough* Meet your Match, until Jungle Inferno came around, then suddenly the game was barely supported anymore, some new crates and bug fixes, the ALL IMPORTANT Localisation Files.

After that the cheater problem ramped up, humans at first, then fully automated cheater bots, and like that it stayed all the way to present day.
AND VALVE ISN'T DOING SQUAT TO FIX IT. Casual is unplayable due to 90% of matches being populated by bots, they advertise their crappy cheats, so called purchasable "immunities" and as of recently even CP.

It is just embarassing that Valve isn't doing anything about these bots and with recent developments they need to be held accountable for their actions, or rather lack thereof!

We are not asking for new weapons, nor maps or anything like that. We just want to be able to play the game we love without being exposed to racist, micspamming cheater bots!
