with over 12,000 hours played on this game. I can tell you it is not worth the time. No one will tell you how bad this game is for you or stop you from playing it. It's an endless simulator of gambling. You fight a monster on an iron man lets say and want the rare drop. But the drop is 1/5k. You may not even get the item after 5k kills. I've seen people gamble their hard earned gp away as well and become straight addicts. I grew up no on Runescape, but it took me too long to step away from the endless grind. No matter how much you achieve or what you achieve on Runescape, real life is always better. If a friend asks you to hang out or you have homework or something you need to do and you are on Runescape. Just walk away bro. You'll see later on that saving those few ticks for 5k more xp/hr was not worth it. Hang out with your bros irl, do something fun. Runescape is a dopamine trap.

Edit: don't get me wrong. runescape is a fantastic game with a lot of positives in terms of meeting new friends. But in my opinion there's just too many negatives. Once you even achieve the highest of the high on runescape and you're proud of it, someone somewhere will bash it for whatever reason. I finally had realized after acquiring my highest dream, an infernal max cape and twisted bow. once i got them i felt like i was done. i 'beat' runescape. but you'll always be back handed with content that you may not like or some grind you don't want to do. but no one forces you. it's an odd feeling to explain to feel like you have to keep grinding. DO NOT LOGIN to Runescape if you feel you need to. That's when i realized it's time to 'take a break' from runescape forever. Because lets be real, no one quits runescape, we just take breaks.
