Writing this after "Doh-ny's" bungle, but still.

For the most part, Helldivers 2 has been a cornucopia of fun that just keeps giving. The gameplay is great, ever-challenging, and 97% of the people are awesome to play with (except you stick_up).

However, don't expect this to be a super-competitive shooter all the time. Getting killed is part of the game, going in accepting that and doing your best ANYWAYS will make it all the more fun.

If you're a fan of the original XCOM/UFO Defense games, then this one's for you. It's got everything from multiple base management, horrifying terror missions, RNG BS moments (that's XCOM baby!) and more. My only real critique is the art style for soldier faces, which for some reason is far less detailed than any of the other personnel or aliens that show up, but there's a couple of mods for that.

Oh, mods? Yeah, this bad boy can fit so many mods in it! Just... be careful when using the ambient sound mods, the game engine gets really screwy and crashes if it has to pull two sounds at once. But otherwise, go nuts!
