Not only did they seriously screw up , but because Sony decided to screw up in the most catastrophic way possible.
They fact that you want to be locked out and can't even get the game is astounding.

Not to mention that Sony basically went , "Hey do you want to play this game that you bought with your hard earned money just to not play it because we decided you shouldn't due to country restrictions ,or the fact that we are doing this to boost our player number count , maybe even get your data breached in the process? Well do I have the game for you!!

Aside from how many other issues that I could talk about , there is just simply no reason to.
It's clear as day that this was made from a greedy, corrupt, and anti-gamer association at this point.

EDIT UPDATE: WE DID IT GENTLEMAN , WE FOUGHT SNOY AND WON!

Such greed and corruption was finally put an end and so remember ... fight back for your freedom and democracy and make sure you never bow down to corporations that want to change things for the worst.
I will change this point to positive only till I see if they removed that requirement on Steam.
