Before you read, I do love Metal Gear Solid so please hear me out.

Metal Gear Solid 1 is a PSX game. But it shouldn't look straight up like a PSX game. There was no remastering, it looks like how it would if I went down to my basement, got my copy of Metal Gear Solid 1 and booted it up on my PS1 or PS3. They didn't even bother to smooth the game or remaster it in any way, shape or form. There is legitimately a version of this game made by a fan that retouched how the game looked and it was clean compared to this game that looks as if it was hazed out of a potato's asscheeks. I'm not saying the game should look like Twin Snakes. I'm saying this game should at LEAST be touched up a bit.

This is what the game DOES provide. A switch between full screen or windowed, changing the dumbass side bars instead of being able to remove them and have the game in 1080X1920, the option to choose Metal Gear Solid, VR Missions, Integral and Special Mode (Just another VR mission mode). Oh. Did I mention that for Integral and Special Mode you have to download the Japanese and Europe voice pack which are NOT listed on Steam? So you can't even play them. And Integral offers you to shoot in first person as well.

The nicest thing about this game is that you can put artificial save data up for what I assume would be used during the Psycho Mantis fight. That is probably the NICEST addition they've added for the game. Cause everything else is embarrassing. I guarantee within a few months, fans will have done a better job patching this Metal Gear ♥♥♥♥ port than Konami ever did. But why did I place my bets on this gambling piece of garbage company anyways? Them putting out a quality game port is more of a gamble than winning on a Pachinko machine nowadays.

Get schooled Konami. You sucked at what you did. Had you handed over the rights to Kojima, he would have farted onto the PC and gave better results just from that. I could emulate this game and while that's "illegal :B", I own several copies of your games with better quality on different and OLDER platforms.
