Terraria stands as the best sandbox game in history, with amazing developers still giving out free content updates after 8 years.

The generic impression that this game is just minecraft made into 2D, you chop some wood, you build some tools and a basic shelter, you mine some ores and make some armor. Normally most players would stop here being clueless what to do after. I can assure you that the game goes much deeper.

Terraria is more of a fusion between survival, sandbox, and a metroidvania-esque progression system.

There's also so much to do that it honestly boggled my mind that this game is so cheap, never have I gotten so much value out of every single cent I've spent on a video game.

- The game will have you fighting over 20+ different kinds of bosses and events. Ranging from massive undead brians to pirates invasions to slimes literally raining from the sky.

- Several different classes of melee, ranged, magic, and summoner. Giving a wide arrange of varied playstyles to pick from, having literal hundreds of weapons to pick from.

- 20+ unique NPC's that'll move into the houses you've created, each and every one having a unqiue shop with items that will ease your adventures (With the exception of a few)

- Build a base, fish, catch bugs, collect some mounts and pets, display your treasures on mannequins and weapon racks, build a rollercoaster with minecart tracks, your imagination is the limit in Terraria.

- Several different biomes to explore, each and every one having unique enemies and loot to be yours.

- Over 3500 items to loot, mine, find and craft.

- An expert mode where even regular slimes will ruin your day, with new rewards to uncover from previously conquered bosses.

And I can't stress this enough, use a wikipedia if you have too. The first mistake people do is not understanding where to go or what to do, once you know the basics the game turns into a wonderful snowball of progression.
