As an 0600 Communications Marine I was definitely not expecting TO DO MY REAL LIFE JOB IN A GAME.

I love that this campaign had a focus on stealth and reconnaissance, but still left the door open to engaging the enemy directly. Adding aliens to the mix really made the story unique. I adore Apex but its campaign isn't quite on the same level. Cpl Stype getting his hands on an LDF radio to seize their crypto is hilarious (and a huge reminder why you guard CCI with your life). I'm genuinely impressed by the grasp the Bohemia team has on such complex fields as radio communications and electronic warfare. Character lines and equipment in the environment show that, even if they weren't important to the tasks you'd be completing. They did a great job of distilling all the complexities into something any player can easily understand, utilize, and enjoy. Frequency jamming, intercepting enemy comms, and imitating OPFOR on their own nets are all things the U.S. Armed Forces invest more effort into than anyone will ever know. The campaign wasn't Halo: it gave us another realistic experience and simultaneously explored the chaos involved in a first contact scenario.

The map is beautiful, in my opinion beaten only by Tanoa. The new factions, firearms, vehicles, and assets are a nice addition however they shouldn't be the driving factor behind buying Contact. The value comes from the Livonia map and the campaign. Apex will forever be my favorite DLC in the series but Contact comes in right behind it.
