So far, so good! Very faithful to the original with almost only good improvements. If you can tolerate a game that doesn't always hold your hand it's worth playing.

Oof, the premise of this game is good and it starts strong, but over time it becomes so railroaded and ridiculous that it's clear your choices don't matter at all. Pretty sure the story line is completely linear with no actual ability to influence anything. Some of the problems also become so ridiculous that it's hard to even consider them. I have no problem with the announcer women since, yeah, she's annoying, but that's what she is supposed to do.

The problem with this game is that it has a south park level understanding of morality, and those ''real world philosophical papers" don't mean much. Starts of promising, and then it quotes the Matrix, or have an AI - Telephone problem with a citation from 125 AD. I hope this developer Graves didn't put his actual choices in the game and this isn't reflective of his worldview, else this becomes worrying.

Also steep price for the lack of content and replayability. If this is actually meant to "wrestle with your moral compass" like the game claims then it failed.

I want to give a positive review in it's current state of beloved-game-gone-to-mixed-recent-reviews. What happened: The developer has made some critical oversights when doing a rewrite of some fundamental systems which has led to a very janky game play experience on the most basic level right now.

However, what has struck me has been their transparent and honest communication in admitting the issues and working on fixes with a speed and honesty which has been really refreshing to see. This has given me a lot of trust in this developer going forward and it is clear that the issues were an oversight, it's temporary, and in the span of a few days and a weekend(where no breaks were taken it seems) since the initial patch, multiple patches have gone out to address lots of things and keep the community up to date, thank you! You have been a positive example of how to handle such a mistake after it happened and you have done everything right after the initial mess up, and for this I want to give a positive review and recommendation.

Especially since the game itself is so excellent! If you like role playing games or Lovecraftian settings with horrors beyond humanities understanding, that is. It's an innovative take on the genre with great writing and an interesting card interface that works really well and is easy to manipulate once you settle into it. Once the problems are fixed out this is definitely worth your time to play, and I think it's worth the money in it's fixed state for sure! Normally in a review i'd go a bit deeper into the mechanics and how things are but trust me: This is the kind of game you want to experience as blind as possible: Just know if you like a rich and imaginative setting, dark forces beyond the colours of time, and well build and interesting world, then you'll probably like this!

Make sure that the issues are fixed if you're still waiting to buy it, but once they are this will be an easy recommendation. It feels good to have a game where I can say with full confidence that the current issues are temporary and will be fixed soon.

I played it and while it didn't run that great on my machine for some reason, it does seem like it's a very nice and smooth experience. reminding me of the best Halos of yesteryear.

Where it falls flat for me is the monetization. This is probably the most HORRIBLE version in AAA games as of it yet (not counting the battlefront 2 fiasco). You must pay along the lines of 8-10$, sometimes MORE, for a simple color swap, and that color swap is then limited to only the armor you bought it on. This is a disgusting perversion of free to play, and does NOT compensate for it being 'free to play'. Once i saw that, I was out. Please fix your macrotransactions. I would really like for Halo to be good again.
