Oh my god THERE'S SO MANY FREAKING CATS!!! And interactive environments to boot?! Good lord, you definitely get your money's worth from this game.

Also, I have to give this game credit for the fact that it has an achievement for finding all the cats without using hints (a tall order when there are 580 in the game), but even so basically gives you a free hint system anyway just so you don't try to tear out your own eyelids. If you're in the vicinity of a cat you haven't found, you'll hear cats meowing, so you can use that to at least center yourself in the general area of where you need to be. Still difficult, but in a fair way. Good sportsmanship, devs, I respect that.

You love cats, cats love boxes. Therefore, by the Transitive Property, you also love boxes and should play this game.

This is a really solid sokoban game, and I'm saying this as someone who's normally terrible at sokoban. I enjoyed these puzzles thoroughly because they're challenging without being discouraging. What I really like is that the level layout typically has more than one path, so if you get stuck on a puzzle, it's likely you can switch to the other branch for a while before coming back to it. Additionally, Devcats is a huge advocate of cat adoption and regularly donates portions of their proceeds to various animal shelters, so by buying Cats Love Boxes you're also helping to support kitties in need! If that's not a great reason to play this game, then what is??

SIKE that was a trick question, I led you to believe it was rhetorical but there is in fact a correct answer: My cat Rory is in this game, so you should definitely play it and find him so you too can shower him with love like I do every day!

More false advertising, the forest is beautiful.

10/10 This dev lies like a mofo but they sure do make great cat games.

Genuinely shocked that this game is free. It's more polished and feature-complete than many games I've PAID for! It has a couple small graphical issues and badly needs more music tracks, but honestly, that's the extent of my criticisms. This is definitely one of the most fun and engaging games I've ever not paid for.

Legitimately can't believe this game is free, because I've paid money for hidden cat games WAY worse than this. I'm honestly glad it has some paid DLC because the devs deserve compensation for a game this good! It has some nice twists on the usual hidden cat routine, such as the fact that you're revisiting the same location with changes over time, and finding coins for the arcade cabinets. Also, and I cannot stress this enough, every song in this game is an absolute BANGER! I even nominated it for the best music category of the Steam Awards, because I could listen to this all day.

I definitely recommend this game, and I strongly encourage you to pay for the DLC. These devs have a real passion for cats, and the money you spend on their games helps support animal rescues. 10/10, keep up the good work!

I was going to recommend this game anyway purely because IT HAS A DEDICATED SQUEAK BUTTON, but in this day and age of gaming I think it's even more important to spread word about a hidden gem like this. It's incredibly creative and utterly nails the late-2000's vibe, aka it's a feature-complete game that offers a fair challenge and plenty of freedom (with an optional collect-a-thon on the side). The writing is endearing, and the characters are surprisingly distinct for being so simple, which is the mark of a great design. It's chill, wholesome, engaging, and very fun to play!

But yeah, if nothing else play it for the dedicated squeak button.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, THE LAG.

I didn't think it was possible to hate one of these games, but I was crying for it to end before I was halfway through. My computer can run the Arkham Batman games with no problem, but THIS game made my computer chug like crazy and my fans run so hard I was worried my tower might ignite. I can't even imagine what must be going on in the back end to make it run so poorly?? Are these relatively simple models thousands of polys or something?? Whatever it is, it makes the game run excruciatingly slow. These 100 Hidden games usually only take me like 10 minutes, but this one took me close to an hour simply due to waiting forever for the camera to move. Seriously, the lag is unreal, it's hard to adequately convey until you see it for yourself. Which, obviously, I don't recommend doing.

Sad to say it, but unless this game gets an overhaul that makes it run properly, this is one 100 Hidden game that should stay hidden.
