I wanted to love this game, it could've been everything I'd been yearning for since Populous: The Beginning but unfortunately these were shoes too big to fill. Controls felt minimal and very clunky and the aesthetics of the game looked rather primitive. The gameplay itself lacked depth with nearly every aspect whether it being construction, units, powers or terraforming almost as if it was an iOS game. Idol Hands has potential but stumbles with every feature that makes God games great, I would sadly not recommend it.

A wise man named William Shatner once said “Why do I climb the mountain? Because I’m in love!” I understand these profound words more than ever, it’s all clear now as I watch the indolent mountain spin and the rain come and go. My deepest urges to climb, hug and envelop that mountain and yet it cannot be … this embrace is but an illusion. No matter how hard I try to be near you I am but pushed further back into the stratosphere to watch you from afar. You speak to me and I listen to your sweet harmonics yet I cannot answer back, no words can answer your call … yet still I heed.

So you may be asking why? Why do I continue to watch the mountain? It’s simple..

Because I’m in love.
