Do not assume everyone on a game forum is beneath you. Do not talk down to people. You have no idea what the background and knowledge is of the person you are talking to. Challenge their ideas and opinions, but do not belittle them. I have little respect for that kind of attitude when I see it reflected in a forum response.

I do hold advanced degrees and licenses... at least one of which, says I know how to fly airplanes. I know a bit about boats, diving, mechanical stuffs, automotive repair, building of various RC gadgetry. So I have a better-than-average understanding of "how things work". Programming and logic are also fun hobby-level exercises for me.
