Honestly, I understand the $15 dollar critique, it is a lot, but given the "free" mechanical fixes that had to be covered, I understand why they had to paywall parts of it.

If you look past the "Should this have been in the base game?" debate and "is it worth $15" and focus purely on the game, it is a much needed improvement.

Huge fan of UrbanProphet, remember seeing MnB 2 on Kongregate when I was in middle school, happy to see the updated version. Lost half my squad due to a flamethrower in a hedgerow 10/10 just like I remembered.

Overall, the game works. That said, it still needs debugging, and some of the achievements have ridiculously high thresholds. For example, the "Catch 1,000,000 crabs achievement" is ridiculous. I get that you're trying to create a challenging game, but after 20 hours of play and only ~10,000 crabs caught across all saves, it takes far too long.

truly a great simulator-- fair warning, this game requires a decent understanding of baseball in order to really enjoy it and get a grasp of the level of nuance and detail you are given. If you love baseball & don't mind the detail (or love it in my case), it's an excellent buy. If either of those facts don't apply to you, buyer beware.

Got a coupon and purchased this on a whim-- glad I did. Good, solid game to kill some time with and think.
