imagine some random guy purchases an entire company then uses an already existing game to release his new game engine based on an old one that he proceeds to overwrite entirely leaving former of it behind while sticking us with a half baked experience that 'looks better'.

Some of that didn't happen but for the parts that did I can only warn you against it.
