Rogue Legacy 2 is a master class in game feel and satisfying progression. You're always progressing, getting just a bit further and getting new builds to play with. I can't say enough good stuff about this one.

My favorite game of 2023, nothing else comes close for satisfying combat. Bleak Sword DX is laser focused on combat and each level is _just_ the right length to test your skills and stress you out without ever overstaying its welcome.

A modern classic that deserves love.

It’s search action, but there’s nothing else like it. It feels alien and foreign while also being oddly comforting. One of the best games of the year. Play with sound on to enjoy some really creative audio work!

Gorgeous art, a fun sense of humor and great vibes throughout. This version includes loads of smart updates to the core gameplay and is a must play for anyone who enjoys Sunset Riders (and body parts jokes)

My game of 2024 so far. Everything about it is perfect and everyone should play it. Twin-stick bullet hell Zelda with the ideal difficulty curve.

Also - the sound effects are like candy to my ears…so crunchy and satisfying.

A masterpiece.

An intoxicating take on the twin-stick shooter, Stray Shot introduces a level of strategy you don’t see often in this type of game. Just feels good to play across the board.

Funny, beautiful and occasionally surprisingly touching. Mechanically extremely satisfying with a clever approach to variable difficulty (your pan gets bigger walls the easier your setting) that keeps the core of the game intact if you’re looking for some chiller cooking.

I absolutely love this game’s atmosphere and think about it regularly. I also want to use cigarettes to season my eggs now!

Q.P.I.D. is a wonderful and compact puzzle game with just the right level of challenge to test you but never leave you feeling stuck. I loved my time saving those cats and strongly recommend you check it out!

I need this on a full size arcade cab - but in the meantime GuardGrave plays like a dream on the Steam Deck!

Monster Bath has nailed the assignment here, creating a game that evokes classics like Burger Time but brings a unique style, look and feel - it plays like you remember those classics playing but is much more compelling.

Probably one of the best roguelikes I've ever played. Gameplay heaven and super satisfying progression. 10/10
