Early Access Review
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord single player campaign :-

This game is kind of beginning to dominate my mind and all my free time. It really was the sequel I was waiting for, with a completely overhaul to diplomacy, clan (player faction) management and persuasion this definitely feels like a sequel rather than a graphically superior m&b warband.

Moving onto graphics, this game looks very pretty on max settings and very decent on lowest settings too. The textures are good and all but what really grabbed me was the animation and level of detail in the battle, tavern and city landscapes. Whilst remaining graphically modest, the game still manages to look good.

There are new types of quests, with their own solutions and nominal amounts of choices in side quests. There are also more ways of roleplaying / defining your character's personality. Now with coercion and persuasion being a stat you can talk your way out of crimes both societal and moral ones committed during war. It's all very much needed to boost the game feel from the vanilla m&b 1 sandbox gameplay.

As a matter of fact, most if not all the changes done to the sandbox have made the gameplay feel smoother, more rewarding and more enjoyable. You can really tell the developers thought a lot about what made the first mount and blade so great and wanted to improve upon it in their sequel.

I am very passionate about the progress of this game during its ongoing development and will whole heartedly recommend this game to any fan of the original in its current state and even go as far as to say this game should be recommended to everyone upon its full release.

Thank you TaleWorlds Entertainment!
