I've seen a star available for no train crashes. I wondered whether i could be bothered working out how to crash a train in order to not get the star.
Maybe later levels, puzzle solutions will actually involve having to create crashes, and the insanity will happen.

Did you mean i would automatically fail, or Romulus would?

In the case of Romulus, i'm guessing they didn't know about a no pauses star requirement. In the case of myself, i would probably remember the option i changed, and change it back.
Either way the requirement could be simply restated instead to no actions while paused, or no pausing after any construction.

In topic Linux Build #6 Issues
Using gentoo ~amd64, awesomewm, the open source amd drivers, and playing at 1600x1200. I'm not getting the above issues.

I did get an issue where the bridge tutorial bugged half off the right edge of the map. the message couldn't be closed but covered a chunk of the screen. Restarting the level fixed it, but without the tutorial. I don't think i missed much.
Those tutorial messages look kinda ugly, too.

They are both train themed puzzle games, but yes, TV1 is a different game, and very good.
I think an individual name for TV2 could have been sensible, something that implied a change in the puzzle rather than an upgrade.
Maybe:
"TV:Move These"
"Recoloured TV"
"TV: Stations"

I really like TV1, and bought it for a couple of people.

At the moment i can't imagine playing much TV2.
It seems to cost me too much attention to tell which bits of the map are important. I think it's because of the colours. Washed out, faded, blurry, old bed sheet colours. The only thing i can notice on the screen is the goal triangles.
Maybe it's partially be the polygons being more distinct than the useful information. Maybe it's all blurry looking and some anti-aliasing will help. Maybe i just need new eyes.

TV2's gameplay seems OK, but i haven't played enough to be sure.

Here was me wondering if it was safe to go back yet.
Maybe if there was DLC to be able to use hive minds, it would have been fixed.

It might be difficult to do more than cosmetic changes, but, those cosmetic changes are really important to the game.
The vanilla races are all dull, asexual, and lifeless. The most boring of humans, with different masks. All their home lives are carefully approved, before being allowed into the game, by a puritanical priest of patriarchy. The little icons you manipulate for population in Moo2 are not only more likeable, but more individual.
Then i play with custom pictures, as purifier/swarm, and make the galaxy a better place.

Not sure if this was true when you posted, but at the moment, in game dps sometimes includes accuracy, for example Gamma Lasers and Kinetic Artillery. Bombers are an example where dps doesn't include accuracy.

I just tried Armello.

It's a computer board game, with the simulated board being an 8 wide hex map, on which up to 4 heroes compete for victory points, for about 16 turns each.

I don't recommend it. Consider it at $5 or less, as an experience in sanitised badness.

It's very pretty, in a censored for 5 year olds way.
It seems to be stable and bug free.

The board game at it's heart is probably mediocre, but it's a little difficult to be sure. Some of it's problems could be avoided with house rules if it were a tabletop game. The snakes and ladders randomness is probably the hardest thing to fix.
The client runs well, but has deliberate design flaws to make the game more tedious. For example, seeing the whole map is made difficult, but possible with slow dragging, for no apparent reason considering it's such a small map. Dice rolling is a slow animation you have to watch.

I only tried single player. It was tedious enough with the AI doing turns, i don't want to inflict that on a human.

This game, by it's BGG reviews, looks great. I'm seriously considering buying the hard copy.
Thanks for putting it on Steam, i wouldn't have known about it otherwise.


For me, in windowed mode, the game doesn't recover from being minimised, it seems to come back off the left of the screen.
It doesn't restart after killing it.

From the console:

I suspect it's doing something strange with screens. This unity bug seems to turn up when people have multiple monitors, and the game is trying to display on the wrong one.
I only have one monitor connected at the moment, but i guess my system supports 4+. I've never had this problem with unity before, but that doesn't mean my config is optimal, and obviously other people have with other software.


Deleting the config directory at
~/.config/unity3d/JonSudburyGames/OrtusRegni
allows the game to restart.

Setting the game to run fullscreen it behaves properly for me.

Closest i've found is OpenTTD.

I haven't played gnomoria much since before 1.0. It was well worth playing back then, pretty sure it's not worse now.
It's abandoned and imperfect, but that's true of most games sold on steam.
