Atmosphere and sounds design are top notch but the greatest stand out for me is the combat. This is an amazing transformation of souls-like combat to a bare-bones, top-down experience. It has the all important experience of even regular mobs tearing you apart for 2-3 tries then as you learn the dodge timings and mechanics you can defeat them fairly easily. 100% would give this a go, and am looking forward to being able to purchase the full release.

The varied combat styles all seem to work equally well, and it feels just as rewarding to play an agile dagger and throwing knife style or a hard hitting hammer and great bow. Absolutely stunning work.

The inclusion of challenge and speed run modes as standard also speaks to a good understanding of the target audience, we would be doing it ourselves in no time so really fun to see them included in the game. Hope to see these in the full release as well.

Given how impact the stunning mechanic is, I would love to see other options for parries rather then just using the shield however, maybe working it into attacking into your opponents attack with certain weapons.
