This is the Wizardry where they finally went full anime... and I love it. It feels like a modern take on the races, dungeon crawling, and battle mechanics of my favorite Wizardry in the franchise, Wizardry 5, with the classic five races (Human, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, and Porklu [AKA legally distinct Hobbits]) and eight jobs (Fighter, Mage, Priest, Thief, Bishop, Samurai, Lord, and Ninja) of the classic games pre-Wiz 6, as well as a few new features, like class skills, upper floor maps (and a spell that can map areas for when you get to lower floors), spell names that are to the point about what they do, a quest system, and more, just in an anime wrapper.

Speaking of, the art is rather great as well, having just the right amount of detail without being too distracting from the main focus, the dungeon crawl.

This feels like a must for fans of classic Wizardry.

Guessing Steam's gonna make us wait until 10 AM Pacific Daylight Time until we can access the DLC, seeing as that's when they tend to update things. I'm beginning to think they consider 10 AM PDT as the start of their broadscast day. No matter. That Epic Fetus + Loki's Horns + Mom's Knife synergy Edmund showed on his Twitter is enough for me to wait. SPIRAL KNIFE EXPLOSIONS!!
