Early Access Review
This is a fun game for automation.

It has a different approach than other similar games but that's one of it positives. The game is being working by the devs. discord is fun too.

It takes a little getting used to the controls and it is in early access. So a bad spawn could happen but hey, it's a learning opportunity.

The artwork is colorful, the music fits and most of the items have a good description. Though it may take a little reading.
But it is like other factory games, once you have that : Oh I made it work, it feels good so you want to go for the next step.

There is a bit of complexity too. Energy and enemy management among others.
I recommend it because it feels fresh though similar. and the game is growing. With an open mind there a great game to find. The handcrafting is not bad. One can automate the building blocks necessary pretty early on.

give it a whirl.

I wanted to tell you about Brookhaven. I backed it on Kickstarter because I caught my attention for the unique setting, and the dev, who was highly responsive.

It’s my first review ever, so I’ll try my best to inform you as correctly as possible
I was part of the Beta test for Brookhaven so I did get to play around 68 hours of it. Brookhaven is a farming/magic game. It plays like similar games out there, you got farming with seasons, fishing, animal raising, a dungeon for exploring, romanceable npc’s and more.

But Brookhaven has enough unique things going for it that makes it stand out from the rest.
Magic is a big part, the sheer amount of animal you can raise is fun, and there are your not-so-typical-animals. Even mythological ones. You can raise mounts, there is a minion system, and you can train those.
The story is another thing that makes Brookhaven special. It’s not always about the hero, the other npc’s are trapped there as well and have their own stories, feelings to tell you about. And just like in the real world they have real world issues. That makes that you can have a little more connection to the game. It is sometimes a little dark, but mostly light hearted

You can build a lot of farm buildings as well like coops and barns and igloo’s. Each with different animals to raise and with those come a variety of uses for making and selling products. Or to use in the many items you can craft, mostly magical items.
The game is crafted with a cute pixel art that fits the game and its idea perfectly. The overall music fits in as well.
There’s so much more to discover, and with its low price point you get a lot of bang for your buck.

What makes Brookhaven truly shine the most is the dev. She has been passionate about it throughout the development, open with how everything was going, fixing, adjusting, listening to suggestions, implementing them as fast as she could.
For a first time dev. She did great. Brookhaven is a little different but a good breath of fresh air for the genre. And it will be supported for the foreseeable future with updates.
If you like farming, magic (both light and dark) and romance with a caring dev. Then Brookhaven will make you happy for sure.
