Early Access Review
This game is an innovative take of the extraction shooter type, with the addition of an assymetric gameplay antagonist as the alien. Graphically, the game is good looking, albeit a little taxing on the performance side. Early access, so there are still somes bugs and the game would benefits from more content, but the gameplay loop is already enjoyable enough.

The devs are very reactive for now and working hard to add new features and balance the game day after day, and recently showed that they were listenning to the players. keep going like this guys !

TLDR . Very enjoyable game overall.

Pros :
- Cheap
- Interesting story and believable characters
- several difficulties to choose
- Several endings depending on your actions during the story
- OST are good and well used, with good use of SFXs along battle
- Cute and attaching characters. Also, the game has very good graphism for and RPG maker engine and an enjoyable art style.
- about 15-20h long in hard difficulty if you read all dialogs and do all side content. Probably can be reduced to 10h in lower difficulties or if you only focus on Main story.
- No random battles while moving around.
- Game is tense and always throw you from a grim situation into another

Cons :
- ...well, Game is tense and always throw you from a grim situation into another (^.^")
- Too short IMO. Not in terms of price/time ratio, but because I would have liked to enjoy the game for longer.
- Too few side content to breathe between major operations.
- You can't farm. Number of battles available through the game are finite, and so are the few ways of healing without use of ressources

Just finished the game yesterday, and it was a very enjoyable experience ( And I am not a big fan of RPG makers usually, so GG for that ). The OSTs are very well used allong the game IMO. I kinda would have liked the game beiing longer, so I could enjoy more of it, but it is what it is. playing in hard, The things were always hectics and I don't really know if I liked that or not lol (kinda both I guess, as it create tension and contribute to the overall storytelling) . The story might have benefited of more "breathing" moments in the form of smaller / side Ops but that's my opinion.

But very good game overall

Excellent game.

EDIT : issue, resolved, so I go back to positive evaluation. I'll still leave the content of my previous eval as a warning to Sony and future players.

> But now, three months in, the Editor Sony decides to pull the rug under our feets. Either link to PSN account, and accept that they sell your data to brokers and get them hacked in next 6 months (given sony data breach records) or kindly lose your access to the game you've paid.

Also, since ArrowHead CM so "kindly" invited us to leave a bad review if we were dissatified with that decision, I kindly oblige.

F*** you Sony. We don't care about the figures you wanna put on your next shareholders meetings. Get hold of yourselves and stop competing for championship of the most ant-consumer company of the year for once.

It's really sad to see this awesome game having a mixed review, when it should be overwhelming positive.
In fact, it is, if you filter out all the CN players reviews who decided to review bomb the company (not even the game, mind you ) just because they feel cucked by a virtual character of another game from the devs.

What to say about this game ?
It manages to turn one of the most static genre (tactical turn based) into a very dynamic gameplay. It manage to keep the gameplay fresh while you progress in its story, by unlocking more and more of its gears, gameplay and features each missions. Its story is very well paced, filled with surprising and plot twist elements, the drawings are superb. The missions themselves are also very well paced, alway keeping you on the edge, and by no point you'll ever feel like nothing bad can happen to you.

> The OST is very good and alway on point to the feelings each mission is trying to convey.
> Fights are fluid, fast paced, dynamics, very engaging with tons of options to exploits.
> Animations are clean and neat, chara design on the battlefield is very good too.
> cheap, no always online DRM, no Denuvo eating your PC perfs, no MTX.
> 100 hours of actual content (and not filler content, but engaging battles and story elements)
> Anime style with a realistic take. Game doesn't shy one the gore or gruesome details.
> No need to know about the Girls Frontline games to pick on the story of this one. important elements of lore are explained in files accessible when they are mentionned during a conversation
> Neat resume of what happened before when you load a save after closing the game, concise and exactly what you need to remember before going on further in the story, so no matter if you take a pause, you'll never feel lost when starting the game later.
> No RNG galore. positionning matters a lot. Shooting someone in an open field often result in a 100% chance to hit, meanwhile, being in full cover almost grant complete immunity against ennemy fodders (not snipers and elites though)
> Memorable battles. I can already say that some won't be forgotten in years.

TLDR : Don't get fooled by the mitigated review. This game is awesome.
Even if you are not a fan of tactical or GFL, you need to at least test this game.

Welp, I really wanna love this game. Concept is great, and the first itteration was exceptional. from what i've seen other play, it's as good as DD1...

BUT...

the lack of optimisation is abismal. I mean, my rig can run cyberpunk, helldiver 2, GTA V and RD2 just fine, yet my CPU is literally frying from the main screen in 720p, with a whoping 95% usage while my GPU is nicely chilling in a corner.

Also, Denuvo don't help with that at all. On the contrary, choosing to use that thing when your game is as CPU intensive than it is, is a really bad move from Capcom.

I cannot recomend a game that I can't play at all. I'll wait for optimization. And normally I wouldn't rate the game before that.

Sadly, game company works only with KPIs nowadays. No bad revues means game is success, so no need to work on it anymore. So here is my red thumb, until they optimize their game better.
