This game is a lot of fun. I've played through the early access content and side missions. There are also short missions you can get from bases and there are unexplored systems that appear as you travel so it keep generating content. It plays a lot like Star Lancer / Freelancer with weapon upgrades by level and quality. I found myself looking for better an better weapons much like Borderlands. The higher quality weapons can have multiple 'enhancements', getting right combo can take some grinding but it's worth it.

If you like the first Evil Genius you'll like the second one even more. Build your lair with traps and keep refactoring to optimize equipment and room size. Refactor halls for killing/capturing agents.

Been modding this game for over 15 years. Still a great time.

Easy to learn hard to master. You can be thinking "I'm invincible" 1 minute and then one bad decision, hubris or the perfect storm of environment hazards and suprise attacks take out one of all of your ships. Good times.

Wow. Sux. Don't want your $. Menus don't make sense, In game barriers and "art" hard to tell apart. Weapons, monetary system, enemies weren't thought through. Wouldn't play this if it was free.
