Halo Infinite takes the 20-year-old game series into the open game world and breaks the formulas of the game series, which has remained linear in this respect. In any case, it has been made beginner-friendly and aimed at an even wider audience, even though it is a sequel.

The story of Halo Infinite begins some time after the events of Halo 5: Guardians. A devastating battle ensues from the second Halo ring, and the bitter defeat leaves the game’s hero Master Chief floating unconscious in space. Eventually, a surviving military pilot picks him up, and this is where the game begins.

At first, it’s a little hard to get a grip on the story, but this doesn’t really hurt. The background story gradually opens up to the player, but the outline of Halo Infinite is still clear.

The good news for all Halo lovers is that the game still feels one hundred percent Halo. The feel of the game is familiar, the shooter has been honed to the top and the new features fit nicely into the whole.

The most significant change, of course, is the open Game World, where most of the game is free. The story is linear, but it also helps surviving UNSC soldiers, capture bases and fight Banished’s most dangerous warriors.
The background of the open world is new to Halo, but those who are used to the style of play do not encounter anything atypical in Halo. In these respects, 343 Industries has not begun to reinvent the wheel, but the open world formulas are very familiar.

The fun is that thanks to Master Chief’s throwing hook, you can get virtually anywhere. So the open world is really open. In addition, the vehicles that have always belonged to the Halo series can now really take off the joy, as you can drive more than ever before at the wheel of an evil dog or Scorpion.

It’s also great that despite the open world, Halo Infinite can be played as a linear game if you wish. Performing additional tasks is by no means mandatory. There are small benefits to doing them, but you can ignore them if you want. In addition, the size of the open game world has been kept quite subdued, and Ubisoft games will never become a familiar task.

Also new is the development of Master Chief's armor. By collecting easy-to-find Spartan cores, the player can improve the armor’s special abilities, such as throwing hooks and shields. This is not mandatory either, but makes the game easier. The higher difficulty levels and skulls familiar from previous Halo games add value (as long as you find them first).

Everything feels like a polished finish and balance. Halo Infinite is a game of spirit and blood Halo, although it revamps the formulas and brings new energy to the old game series. The main stages of the story are still linear missions, especially towards the end, so the game isn’t just an open world adventure either.

The weak point for new players is the Halo Infinite story, as it assumes that the player knows Halo’s history quite well. On the other hand, if you’re willing to ignore the many references to the past, the game’s plot is easy to follow. This is the story of Master Chief, its character gallery is small and insofar as it is a fairly simple story.

Perhaps most importantly, Halo Infinite holds its grip pretty perfectly. If you’re a skilled player and focus only on the main tasks, the campaign can probably be completed in less than ten hours, but a collision with the open world can take hours longer. However, the feeling is high all the time and it makes the game world come back.

Halo Infinite is also very beautiful, including the world, textures, and light effects. While it’s not always noticeable in the middle of a shoot, it’s all damn detailed and spectacular. Sometimes you just have to stay put to admire the rugged corridors and mountainous scenery.

The short anthem is beautiful: Halo Infinite is what most of us wanted it to be. It actually avoids any pitfalls that could be plunged by revamping the game series and open world formula. A new player can grab it, but Halo veterans get exactly what they want from the game.
When Halos main theme, starts to play, there’s a mood in the ceiling.

Pros.
+ Gorgeous cutscenes.
+ Great music & Stunning visuals.
+ The open world extends the fun, but is completely optional.
+ Still fun old school shooting style.
+ Liberating and expansive gameplay.

Cons.
- Story leans heavily on past Halo events, characters, and lore.
- Censorship - no blood.
- New players can bounce back from the story's infantility.
- Monotonous, repetitive mission structure in the campaign.

Where the campaign leaves a bit bitter taste in its mouth, the multiplayer that has already appeared attracts more effectively than any other online shooter game in years. It is good to continue with this.
The tunes of Ori and the Blind Forest composer Gareth Coker and his partners, in turn, follow in the footsteps of Marty O’Donnell and bring iconic melodies to life in a pleasant way.
