10/10. For the past 10 years, I've thought that games have been way too easy. That's why I always start new games on Hard mode. Long have I prayed for a game with real challenge to arrive. The gods have answered with Dark Souls.

I initially bought this game for X360 and played 110 hours. Then I bought it again from Steam. I rarely ever play games again, but this one is just that darn good.

8/10. This game is pretty much awesome. BUT you need to have friends to play with. AND . . . and this is a big AND . . . you need to get some sort of VPN app like Evolve (it's free) to be able to play over the internet. Otherwise, you're likely to experience issues connecting to someone hosting the game.

When I first got this game, I only played it for like 10 mins against bots then spent like an hour trying to figure out how to get a multiplayer game going with my friends. We eventually gave up and the game sat untouched for a year. Then we discovered Evolve and tried Booster Trooper with it. And it finally WORKED! It was like finding a key to a golden chest and inside was this awesome multiplayer game!

8/10. The artwork, design, and the fact that it's a tower defense game all sum up to the game looking just plain fun. 4 hours in, and it's so far solidly fun and entertaining with good progression design.

As for negatives, I'd say the biggest reason why I had it in my library for a while and didn't play it was because of the fuzzy concept of a 'bardbarian'. Hard to picture what that means when you're browsing games to buy/play. Also playing as a bard seemed kind of lame. Probably would've been more compelling to just call it "Barbarian Defense" or "Monster Slayer Defense" :).
